Attention, Love, and hunting wabbits, playing with Boudreaux
Other doggies getting all the attention, not being able to hunt wabbits
She doesn't really play with toys, but loves to chew on a Nylabone when Li-Li doesn't steal it from her!
Anything mom lets her have!
The woods...where she can hunt wabbits...
Goldie wound up in the Katrina shelter here. She arrived right before Fritzie did. She was in the cage next to Fritzie, so they were best buds! I fell in love with her sweet face. She is such a sweet girl who was having a rough time. Not only was she pregnant, but she also heartworm positive. I gladly fostered her (with hopes to adopt) so she didn't have to have her precious pups in the shelter. I am so happy to have her in my life. Update: It's official! I adopted Goldie on April 11, 2006. She's healthy and heartworm free!
Goldie had her pups on Oct 28th, 2005! She had six sweet puppies (four girls and two boys), but unfortunately, one of the girls only lived a few hours. She is buried between Bubba and Mighty Mouse. All the pups found great homes through the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana. (Boudreaux, happily stayed with us!) Goldie was treated for heartworms - that was a rough road, but we made it! Goldie has been spayed and is happy to spend her days playing with her pack and her nights snuggling with mom!
Shhh-be vawy quiet-I'm hunting wabbits

Mom and I are so sad today. See, our Bootsie Bear passed away from Ehrlichia - a tick borne illness. He was an old guy - even older than me, but he hasn't lived here with mom as long as I have. It makes me sad whenever we lose one. Mom and I have been through a lot - she lost two precious pups before rescuing me, then after I came to her, we lost one of my babies the day she was born, then my Katrina Shelter buddy, Fritzie. After that, my bff Gonzo died in mom's arms, then old Gertie. Things were quiet for a year or so after Gertie died, but then my son, Boudreaux got cancer and died six weeks after being diagnosed. Shortly after that, Gabby died of a brain tumor and then Moses from lameness. Now Boots. He was one of my bff's too. We shared a yard just the two of us. We were friends. It's hard dealing with all this - for me and for mom. Momma cries and cries and then looks okay and then starts crying again. Me? I just lay around. I don't want to go near Boots' crate where he died, and I didn't want to say good-bye when Momma gave me the chance. I've just seen too many of my friends pass away. I know they're waiting for us at the Bridge, but it's hard. I miss them.

Most of you already know that I lost my little boy, Boudreaux to the evil "C". Now, he has a chance to help raise money for cancer research so that we may have a time when no humans or pups have to suffer with cancer!
Boudreaux is in the 2011 Cancer Can't Keep A Good Dog Down Calendar contest! My little boy could be a Calendar Boy! All we need is to be in the top 13 of the fundraisers. Here's the info:
All proceeds raised will go to 2 Million Dogs Foundation, a 501 c(3) organization whose mission is eradicating cancer. 2 Million Dogs is working to achieve that goal through education of the common link between cancer in pets and people and funding comparative oncology research. To learn more about 2 Million Dogs, visit our website: www.2milliondogs.org
Mom entered Bou as a way to honor his memory - and hopefully find a way to kick cancer's butt so no more precious doggies have to suffer through this awful disease!
Could you please spare a few bones for this cause? We'd really appreciate it!

Rosie escaped the morning of 11-5-09 from her pet sitter's fenced backyard. She actually managed to unlatch the gate and presumably is headed for home. Her owner is one of my best friends and was scheduled to go out of town today hence the need for a pet sitter.
Rosie is an adult, female, German Shepherd with a very black colored face. AC saw her at North Star and Northwest Blvd. at 10:00 AM this morning but couldn't catch her. If you find her or think you've seen her please call 614-297-8380 or 614-787-1405. She is normally a friendly dog but was very scared when she was last sighted and took off running. Please let us know if you see her.
Rosie was wearing a pink gingham collar, she has all her tags on.
Please help me spread the word to anyone you know who lives in the Columbus area. Share this message on Facebook and retweet on Twitter.
We are worried sick for Rosie's safety.
Thank you for any help!
