 Quick Bio:
Likes: Running and fetching and destroying (toys, that is)

Pet-Peeves: Those "ferocious" deer and bunnies outside that taunt him through the window. Oh, and those squeakers they put in all the dog toys. Hate.That.Noise.

Favorite Toy: Any toy will do fine as long as he can fetch it and gnaw on it. Current fav: empty plastic drink bottles and his all-time favorite: the Hurley.

Favorite Food: Anything.Absolutely.Anything. Peanutbutter is high on the list. Bananas, too.

Favorite Walk: Snuffling for critters in his yard.

Best Tricks: He'll "stay" even when his favorite toy goes sailing by his head!

Arrival Story: We were looking to adopt a dog in the early spring. My husband has always loved labs, so we agreed we'd look to adopt a lab when we were ready. Well, I started volunteering with a rescue group, and wouldn't you know--3 months before we were ready, Henry showed up! I took one look at him and knew my husband would love him. Lucky for us, Henry had a very generous foster father who offered to put him on "lay-away" for us so that WE could adopt him. He even let me go 3 times/week to meet Henry and train with him before he moved in with us. He was a trial for us at first because he was so nervous all the time, pacing everywhere, marking everywhere, etc. But now, after a year, we can't remember what it was like before Henry moved in and became one of the family. He's the perfect addition to our home.

Bio: We don't think Henry was ever in a house before he moved in with us. When he came to our house he didn't understand that a ball was for fetching or that he should even want to run after one. Now we can't stop him from playing with his toys! He's a fast learner! And he's finally learning to enjoy getting and giving lovin'. He'll lick you to death if you let him, and he soaks up the rubs. He used to back away when we reached out for him, but now he only does that when he's busy and can't be bothered, like when we're holding a toy and he wants us to throw it, for pete's sake!

Forums Motto: Wanna play?
