 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 28th 2003
Likes: Biting the water from the hose

Pet-Peeves: Having the hairdrier blow at his face

Favorite Toy: His Ko Ko (Elder Brother) Trax the Samseng(red and white 11 year old corgi)

Favorite Food: Quaker Oatmeal Squares, liver, FISH!!!

Favorite Walk: the compound

Best Tricks: paw paw -ing for food

Arrival Story: Got him from Erickson's Pet Farm. Was looking for a girl corgi of same colour and he was the only tricolour there. Appeared too well behaved for me (was looking for a really naughty pup) but my colleague who couldnt get her hands off him kept exclaiming: "Look at his BIG paws! He's so cute!". Yup. He had big paws. Yes, he's cute. Nice markings too. OK...what the heck. Let's take him home.

Bio: Thank God he has now grown out of his initial 'goody two shoes' attitude....and has become quite a ruffian in his own right. One of his favourite sport is to bite his Ko Ko Trax's backside and then run for his life (screaming excitedly all the way) as his Ko Ko turns on him to get even.....

Forums Motto: I can charm anyone into loving me....

For updates re Barn2 , please see my furkids' blog at
http://www.dogfather-samsengkia.blogspot.com/
Note that his elder brother Trax died in 2007.
Barn2 now has a little sister in Clare Ern-Jie.
She does not have a Dogster account but information about her can be found in the blog above.
Marky is still around. He and Barn2 do not get along so they are separated by 3 doors. Marky gets along with Clare (when she doesnt try to steal his toys).

I suspected something was going to happen that afternoon. Mummy was cleaning her new car and packing things there. Then she called me and hoisted me to this space at the back of her white monstrous machine. True, there was lots of space for me to run around. She had folded down the third row of seats and I have all that space to explore. Before you can say, “ Sit!”, we were off….
If you know my Mummy, you will know her driving isn’t the smoothest around. Ko Ko Trax tells me she never stops for speed bumps and sometimes, sometimes she brakes suddenly. “Mummy forgets that all four of our paws can be in the air when she does that….I don’t like flying…,” he muttered.
In any case, she isn’t bringing him today. She said one corgi is a handful already for this meeting….and she cant cope with both of us all in one go.
It was like eternity before we stopped. Then she carried me (ok, I am short and I cant jump down the car by myself) down. The place was beautiful! A park! Lots of grass, lots of nice smells. She put a leash on me and led me to a pavilion where a number of strangers were gathering. From their conversation, I understand that they are a part of a car club….whatever it is….
And then I saw: another corgi!
“Barnabas, meet B …” she said. B ? Oh, a boy corgi. He’s a year older than I…probably spayed…and is red and white in colour.
“Hello, Barnabas,” he smiled, “ want to be friends?”
I growled. “NO….!”
B ’s too polite, so well mannered, so …so…..nice……a gentleman.
Yuk.
Not my type. “ Get lost, you sissified pooch….” I said.
Mummy yanked my collar. “Now you be nice…”
“Don’t bet on it, Mom…”
“Meet C and D….” Humph.
Two chihuahuas. What was it that Uncle Eric called them? Oh, I remember...'Mexican tree rats'...
Well, I might as well have fun with them….
So I put on my best stalker stance and approached D.
Heh heh..
He backed up, his tail between his legs….Ha ha….
Now for the kill……I approached him menancingly….
Mummy yanked my collar again. “Stop it, Barn! NO!”
Oh rats. Just as I was having some fun…
OK. let me explore the place now…..
Mummy had made the mistake of removing my leash. I ran down the slope with her chasing after me….
Two other ladies ran down as well. All the guys watched the drama unfolding from the pavilion at the top of the hill.
Every time Mummy called me, I would run to the opposite direction.
It was fun!!!
Well, while it lasted.
Mummy soon caught hold of me and turned me upside down. She then carried me up the slope towards the pavilion. It was a relief to have my hot paws waving in the air, cooled by the wind. And having Mummy carry me….oh, that was great! I laughed. (you can see my photo above). They all said I was a naughty boy…but who cares! I had a good time….
Time passes when you are having fun...I think I wore out Mummy with my antics. I poo-pooed around the place- she had to clean it up. B got disciplined by his parents for trying to smell my poo! Haha. I growled at B whenever he came near me. His mummy gave me a tummy rub…and then I cuddled up to my Mummy. When she least expected it, I pushed myself towards her face and gave her a lick. She melted. How can anyone get angry with a cute smiling corgi baby like me?
I got my hug (see photo above).
Cuteness will get you anything, everything.
It was a good day. I hope Mummy was kidding when she said that she will bring Ko Ko Trax to the next Car Club gathering rather than I. Fair is fair, she said.
Hmmm….maybe I should figure out a way of changing her mind….
Just you wait…..PKs have a reputation of naughtiness.
And I intend to live up to it.

It had to happen.
Mummy tried to arrange dates for me. Said, “You are a big boy now….you need to meet a nice corgi girl….” Hmmph!
I sms-ed my Aunty Lucilla. Told her I am a bit queasy about the idea of meeting a girlfriend.
“What if she doesn’t like me? What if she bites me?”
Aunty Lucilla: You mummy wants to be a grandma! Do you like the girl?
“I don’t know. I haven’t met her. It’s a blind date…from the internet corgi site!
I don’t think I am old enough for this….”
Aunty Lucilla: You are old enough. You must be respectful (to the girl corgi)…ok?
“But I don’t want to meet a girl corgi. I am scared….”
Aunty Lucilla: Poor tink poor tink…pat pat pat.
Sigh.
Before I got to see the corgi girl, Mummy brought me to Aunty Lucilla’s flat.
My ex girlfriend Sayang was there….in her room. I kinda sensed her presence when Aunty Lucilla tried to coax me there.
Mummy just swept me off my feet and carried me. Then I saw…………..HER…….the cat SAYANG….perched on top of a cupboard.
She glared at me. Then she let out a hissssss “Come any closer, kid and I will rearrange your muzzle…..”
You think I so stupid to go near her? I couldn’t wait to struggle out of Mummy’s arms and get out of there!
Girls! They are scary….
A few weeks later, my cat girl friend smsed me. I got a feeling that Aunty Lucilla told her to be nice to me.
She said: Hey, Barn. Got hot date ah? Go for it. Show her you the man! Meows, Sayang.
Easy for you to say…..
Mummy took me in her van to Serangoon Gardens. We waited at the nicely landscaped curb opposite PET STATION.
Then I saw her….a sweet looking small girl corgi named Baby. Her Papa Desmond and her Mama were encouraging her to say hello to me.
Emboldened, I approached her….“Hi there, Baby, where have you been all my life…?” (Sayang said- ‘show her you the man!” right?)
She gave me that look. Just like Sayang’s.“ Stop right there, you heart breaking Tom Cruise! Don’t get any funny ideas. Come any closer and … “ SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! her jaws clamped on the cool air a few inches from my face….
Yipes! Get me out of here…..For the rest of our session, I kept my distance. When Mummy snapped our photos, I was just a little more curious about her…hence I smelt her bum. That’s how dogs greet each other anyway.
Then I got distracted. There were lots of humans walking around….and there’s her Papa Desmond and Mama around….More interesting for me. Noticed that she is also a spoilt dog like me. Wondered what would happen if I married her….would she be on the seat and I on the floor? Hmmmm….
So glad to go home alone with Mummy…..Just keep the girls away from me for a while. I am too young….Just give me Ko Ko Trax to play with….
or even Ko Ko Marky to bully. I have my Mummy and my Dada. That’s enough…..
