Happy 2nd Birthday Lenny

Lenny!! You are TWO years old today! Yippeeee! You are at doggie school today and they are having a party for you! I ordered a doggie friendly cake and you're going to share it with all of your pals at the Dogzone! I will be there too - so I will post a picture of you and your pals on here!
You are such a big boy now - not such a puppy any more - you do big boy stuff now, like guard the property - you have become very territorial. You love all of your dog pals and have quite a social life. You are going to doggie day care twice a week this summer so you get lots of exercise and doggie socialization. You LOVE school - you can barely contain yourself in the car when we pull up - let me out Mama, let me out!! You LOVE, love, LOVE school and of course, you LOVE your MAMA.

Happy 1st Birthday Lenny!

Happy Birthday Lenny! I can't believe you are one year old! We are getting ready to go over to Miko and Blue's house to celebrate. Lenny picked up some treats at Woofers and Whiskers - the Doggie bakery to share with Miko and Blue - Lenny gets his own doggie ice cream cup with a bone candle! It will be a fun morning! He will celebrate the rest of the day at his Grandpa's house whooping it up for Father's Day!

Yipppeee, Lenny! You have had a great year filled with lots of love, lots of walks, lots of time chasing the cat and being the little social man of the neighborhood! Here's to an even greater 2nd year!! Woo hoo!!

Dog of the Day!

Wow! What a fun day Lenny has had being Doggie of the Day! Big thanks to Dogster and all of Lenny's new pals. Thank you for all of the great emails!
Lenny has had a GREAT day!! He took a nice long walk this afternoon, so long in fact, he just laid down in the middle of it. I guess he thought, "Hey man, I am dog of the day, I can be done with this walk anytime I please!" He was so done with the walking, that even after I tried to get him up, he laid there like the prince he is, no urgency to even use his legs saying "I dare you, drag me all the way home, I like it."

Lenny had his very first experience with an ice cube today. I'm not sure why he never had one before, but as we took a little break outside after he decided he wouldn't walk any more, we plopped down for some water. Mine had ice, his didn't, so I gave him one. You would have thought that I gave him the best treat known to dogs across the world. He FLIPPED out. Best thing since peanut butter in his kong. Hello. Give me all the ice cubes you have. He likes to lick them, roll on them, eat them and chase it around on the ground. Nectar of the gods. Thank dog for ice cubes.
