ALMOST SUMMER!

Wow, where does the time go?? I just turned 4 in April, and summer is already here! Mom and Dad thought I had Giardia, and took me to the vet. He thought I needed to lose some weight, so now my portions and treats have been cut :-( Mom and Dad say it looks like I have lost a couple pounds, so that is good. I overshot the breed, I weigh 25 lbs, but most of it is muscle, and I have longer legs and am taller than most Schips! Dad has been taking me to the trail, and I have been getting more walks so that is good. I will be in shape for summer!

Wow, it was pretty cool...Mom got an e-mail that I was "Dog of the Day" today! I got a bunch of Rosettes and bones, and a lot of pup pal requests...thanks everyone!

I can't believe Mom hasn't written in my diary for soooo long...I am going to have to withhold treats for her! I have been busy being a dog, so I just don't seem to get to the computer like she can. I am going to be 4 years old in April, and Mom and Dad are promising some kind of celebration...I just want treats and toys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Wow, I am almost three years old! It has been great, finding a good home with my Dad & Mom. I couldn't love them more if they had 4 legs and fur! We are going to celebrate my birthday with my "human" family and my doggie cousin Caesar...it's also Dad and "human" cousin Bret's birthdays, too! I am hoping for some pressed rawhide bones, some liver chiplet treats, and maybe a new toy...is that too much to ask? Hey, if I am going to be 3, and you add 7 human years for each dog year, then I will be 21??? Maybe we'll be going to a club, too??

I AM ALMOST THREE!

I can't believe that in about 2 months, I am going to be 3 years old! I am getting to be a big boy! I have been having some "anxiety" issues lately, I have discovered that I DO NOT like when shotguns are fired during the start of a sailboat race. Mommy and Daddy had to give me "doggy downers" from my vet so that I would stay calm. I wish those races were over...I even jumped off the boat and ran down the docks! Well, I better get off the computer before Daddy catches me!

(ALMOST) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I heard Mom & Dad talking yesterday, and they said in 2 weeks I am going to be 2 years old! They said that they can't believe I made it til 2, and that the only reason I did was because I am cute! Ha...I am a good boy...they tell me that all the time! I finally decided that chewing things up is not something that makes Mom happy, so I have stopped (kind of...) I just got back from the kennel/doggie spa yesterday, and I was happy to be home! But once I got home, I made Mom and Dad feel guilty by ignoring them and looking sad. It worked...I got extra chicken at dinner. We are going to my (human) Grandma's next weekend for Easter...I can't wait to run around in her back yard!

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!

On Saturday night, Mommy and Daddy and my two (human) cousins, Bret & Brittany, went to look at Christmas lights. There is a street in Alameda called Thompson Avenue, where all the houses are decorated and lit up. There are Christmas carolers, and I hear that Santa Claus will be there next weekend. I had a good time, barking "Merry Christmas" to people I saw. We even went to Starbucks for a Cappuccino...I like the foam best. I am looking forward to my second Christmas, but I hope Mom won't make me wear the stupid antlers that she bought me!

DARN SPIDERS!

Well, I have been at the vet hospital all week, with a bad spider bite. Daddy noticed the bite about 2 weeks ago, and Mommy took me to the vet. She gave me antibiotics to make the bump go away, and everything was good. Then last Sunday, the bump started getting bigger again, and I didn't feel so good, so I stopped eating. This made Mommy scared, and I went back to Dr. Woolley on Monday morning. She had to keep me overnight, and on Tuesday she had to lance the bite and put in a drain. YUK! But, I have been at my "doggy spa" all week, and I really love them! Mommy is going to come bail me out tomorrow afternoon, and I will get to go home! Mommy and Daddy say they are glad I have doggy health insurance.

MY ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Mommy and Daddy are saying that on June 30th, I will have been part of their family for a year! We are going to celebrate with Daddy taking me to the beach, and I have been promised a knuckle bone to chew on. I think I have the best Daddy and Mommy in the world!
