Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:
-mutt

Birthday:
October 10th 2004

Likes:
Chasing ice cubes and doing tricks for treats

Pet-Peeves:
Clem does not like plastic or rubber toys to squeak - they must be silenced; OTOH, stuffed squeaky toys are OK.

Favorite Toy:
She adores her slap pillow because it talks and sings when she tosses it in the air.

Favorite Food:
She likes to snack on Mellow Mutts and her favorite food is anything raw.

Best Tricks:
Musical sit-stay, dance, BANG! (plays dead), retrieving water bottles

Arrival Story:
We found Clem's picture and bio at redbarnkennel.com ... contacted the breeder and knew instantly that she was the girl for us. A couple of weeks later Clem joined our family and it's been wonderful ever since!

Bio:
Clementine's momma was an apricot-colored toy poodle and her papa was a papillon, white with black markings. Clem is mostly black with white on her paw, chin, and chest. Her legs are a black/silver kind of color that looks more silver than black in bright light, darker in low light.

In 2006 she earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate from K-9 Insight taught by Pia McGovern in Redwood City and went on to learn some show-stopping tricks with Mollie Harris of Chili Pepper dog training. So far we are taking it easy in 2007 but hope to attend a therapy dog workshop with the Delta Society in the next year or so.

Diary fail!

Okay, so I'm not a wordy kind of gal, what can I say? My 8th birthday was quiet, but nice. Mom brought me home a "Cupcake Cutie" from work. It was a peanut-butter cupcake with yogurt frosting and it was so delicious I didn't share it with any of my fursiblings. Mom said I'm going to get two new fursisters next month ... finally I won't be the only girl again! I had a fursister named Mercy this time last year but she went to the Rainbow Bridge on November 19, 2011. It was a sad day for everyone, but we know we will meet her again! Mercy lived with us for 16 months after she was rescued from a puppymill. Then, sadly, her kidneys failed and she went to sleep forever. She was nice. Maybe these two new fursisters of mine will be just as wonderful as Mercy. They are both Yorkies; one named Millie, who is 8 years old like me and the other is Shelby, who is about 13 years old. I have a foster sister named Charity who is about the same age as Shelby. Mom's calling me ... she said it's time to get my beauty rest. I don't know why she always says that ... especially because she's always telling me I'm already as beautiful as I can be!

I just turned 7!

It's been a very long time since I updated my diary ... so sorry! What can I say? I've been busy helping Mommy teach her foster dogs good house manners and also helping guard our new home in Oklahoma City from the squirrels, cats, and birds that want to come into our back yard.

I had a pup-tastic birthday! I got a new collar and leash and a paw-some new skin-eez toy that has 19 (count 'em!) squeakers! I LOVE it!!!

Have a wonderful day everyone ... I will try to write in my diary more often from and hope to tell you all about my new fur-brother and fur-sister one of these days!

Trip to vet & pupaccinos

This morning I figured I must be something really special because mom & dad took me and only me on a ride in the car. We left Ziggy and Baxter at home and it was nice to have mom's lap all to myself for a change. My excitement/gloating was short-lived, however, when I noticed we pulled up in front of the vet's office. For the record, I do not like this place. It smells funny and something icky happens nearly everytime we go here. I tucked my tail and started trembling from the second dad turned off the car but the vet and his assistant were very nice and after I got all my shots (3 of them!), I relaxed and gave them a bunch of tail wags and kisses and got very excited because I knew I would soon be out of there. The vet said my tail had apparently been temporarily out of service before my shots.

Oh, and BTW, did you know that you can get a pup-a-ccino (shot of whipped cream) at Starbucks?!! YUUUUMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!
