The Life and Times of Edgar the Doxie

Trying not to get my hopes up too high

Nothing.

That's what it's been for the past 2 months. I haven't heard one word about Edgar. Nothing from the police, no emails or phone calls from people who saw a little doxie at a shelter. Nothing.

When Christmas came and went without a little wiggly, wall-eyed puppy under the tree, I had all but given up hope on having my Eggie back in my life.

Then tonight, out of the blue, I recieved a phone call from a good samaritan who saw Edgar's sign up at the local Pet Smart. He said that there was a little, long haired dachshund that came into the neighborhood a few months ago. The man saw him running around in front of a house that is less than 2 miles from the little corner store where the theives used my credit card. The man is familiar with the house and said that these were NOT the type of people that would buy a dog and that they let him just kind of run around.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but things seem to line up with this lead. I left a message with the long silent detective assigned to my case to see what the next steps are. I just hope we can get something in motion... I just want to know if it is or isn't him.

Please let it be the positive of the two options.

I will keep you posted. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers, maybe they will finally be answered.
