is to have my Edgar back.
It's been one month now, but I've had a few glimmers of hope in the past week.
First was the news story run by KARE 11 here in the Twin Cities and while I haven't otten "the" call as a result of it, yet, I do think that it prompted the Brooklyn Center PD to finally assign a detective to my case. After 4 weeks of nothing, I received a call from a detective on Friday. She asked all the questions that I had already given answers to when the police first took my report, but at least it got the ball rolling.
I also discovered last Thursday that the theives stole a credit card. They used it at two locations - one of which was a small corner market in North Minneapolis. I went to the store and knew right away that this is the type of market you would only visit if you either lived in the area or frequented it. I spoke with the owner of the store and he posted two flyers for Edgar. I feel that whoever took him and hopefully whoever has him will return to this store and see that I am looking for him. The detective stopped by both locations where the credit card was used to check to see if they had any video of the transaction. Unfortunately, the surveillence tapes at both locations were only kept for 1 month and I had just missed that timeframe :o( However, the detective did say that she noticed that a few phone numbers had been taken from the flyers in the corner market.. so that's a good sign.
I am full of hope that I will get my wish and have my Edgar baby with me, sleeping on my lap while I open presents on Christmas morning.
