Always notorious for trying to sneak any treat possible, little Edgar decided to take advantage of his mommy's absentmindedness by snatching the newly opened package of Dolce de Leche Oreos off of the end table when mom walked into the other room.
Lucky for him, his mom didn't notice right away. She did begin to wonder what was going on when she heard a doggie burp come from underneath the end table.
By that time it was too late, Eggie had eaten at least half of the package of cookies.
His mommy wondered if he'd be ok.. went on the internet and felt better when she didn't hear any horror stories. She was just in for the wait to see if his indulgence would catch up with him later.
The next day when his mom got home from work, she didn't find any unpleasant surprises, so she was really relieved. She went about feeding Mr Edgar and his kitty brothers, Gunther and Templeton in her usual way. While she was in the bedroom changing out of her work clothes she heard the undeniable sound of a doxie tossing his cookies.. again.. and again...
Eggie was a sad little fellow for about an hour. He looked so uncomfortable, like his tummy hurt to much to lay down. But after a little nap, curled up with his lizard toy, he was back to trying to steal the food off of his mom's dinner plate and back to chasing his brothers around the apartment.
So never leave a package of cookies unattended, even for a minute, because little doggies can make their move faster than you think!
