Yes, I was!! Mom and I have been training for quite some time now. Mom wanted to take me to a Reactive Rover class for aggressive displaying dogs. I learned there are so many other dogs like me out there!! I was soooo good in class!! When the other dogs tried to attack each other I just looked at mom and she told me how great I was and gave me a treat!! Even when the other dogs would look at me and growl I looked at mom and she gave me a treat for not reacting towards them!!

I was used in front of the group to show what constant training can do for a dog!! I loved the attention!! Even the instructor of the class, who I used to be very unsure of was handling me infront of others. I was sooooo good!! I think mom helped some people understand that if you beat, yell or throw a dog on the ground when it lunges for another thing, or growls that it is so wrong. Mom showed them proof that if you use positive training methods like she learned for Dr. Ian Dunbar and Patricia McConnell that things turn around for the better much faster - permanently. Mom can read me so well and knows what upsets me!!

At one point I was total freaked out about something - mom wasn't sure what it was. But she took me outside to go pee and "reset" my brain. I came back to class just fine. As a matter of fact I laid down and took a good nap!!

So if you have a dog that is leash aggressive, afraid of people, dogs or other things - please take your dog to an ADPT certified trainer! These people are great! Besides the other option isn't so great - to be put to sleep.
