I Miss You

I miss my friend. The one my heart and soul confided in.
The one I felt the safest with, the one who knew just what to do to make me laugh again. I miss you so much, Miss Tootsie, my baby girl.

A Special Thank You

Tootsie's final resting place is finished now. And as I said earlier I now feel a calm about me in getting this done.
But most of all, I want to send a special thank you to my dearest and best friends here on dogster. I truely believe God brought them into my life because of what was going to happen to Tootsie.
MISTY and her Mom have been there for me with so many special words and shared in my tears by crying their own tears for Tootsie and I only wish I knew the words to tell them how much they have meant and will always mean to me.
But today, I realize there are no words to describe such special people and pets. These are truely the angels in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I love you both so much...............always.

Riding My Bicycle

Well, today Mom took my sister and I to the vet. It was nail trimming time and I had to get the anal gland thing done, if you know what I mean!
Mom always tells the vet,"She's riding her bicycle again, so better check the anal glands." Most people would just politely say, "She is scooting." but
not my Mom, she has to crack everybody up at my expense!
Too bad we can't go with them to their doctors when they go, we could
really have some fun telling things on them.
We did have some excitement though, as we were almost at the vets office, we saw a pile of smoke. Mom screamed,"Oh no! The vets office is on fire!" But, no such luck, it was the Dollar General store.
All in all, it has been a good day though, I came home and played with my sister. I always let her jump on top of me and act like she's "all that", but I know the truth! Oh yeah, and Mom is frying chicken for supper! YUM YUM......

The 4-Wheeler Ride

Well, today was great! I got to go riding on the 4-Wheeler with my Mom and my human brother, Cody. I love to ride! So, today they took me down the dirt road to see the cows. Yeah, I like to act bad around them just like I do
those squirrels I told you about. So anyway, the cows were standing at the fence which is right on the side of the road. Mom, Cody and I got off the 4-Wheeler and Mom put me down so I could show my "bad self" to those cows.
Cody said, "You sick'em Tootsie!" I started clawing at the dirt road (kinda like a bull does when he's about to charge) and barking and about that time a couple of those cows let out a big MOOOOOOO! I jumped back (not that I was scared or anything) and let Mom know I was ready to GOOOOOOOOO!
I mean, I didn't want Mom or Cody getting hurt or anything, you know.
I was afraid for them, and just felt I needed to get them outta there.
I have to look after my family, of course. They are not quite as brave as me, you see.
So anyway, we are back home now and I think I'll go take a little nap. That was pretty hard work, but Hey! somebody's gotta do it.

The Squirrel and I

This morning when I woke up, I did my usual thing, got lots of hugs and kisses from Mom, then I walked to the back door and spotted the squirrels as I do every morning. So, I ran out the dog door to play my normal game of chase with them. Tickles me to see them all scatter when I hit that dog door running. They know to be very afraid! (Yeah, right.)
But, this morning was different, one of the squirrels just stood there and waited on me and I didn't quite know what to do! Should I go after it or should I tuck tail and run? Hmmm. I wonder if Mommy is watching me?
And then I thought, I know she is because she always does. It makes her laugh to see me run. I run fast! I might be fat, but I can stay with the best of 'em! Well, anyway I decided to go after that squirrel. My heart was pounding as I put it in full speed ahead. And before I know it, I am within inches of that squirrel! Well, he just laughed at me and took off where he went up the tree and looked down at me and said,"See ya in the morning, Toots!"
So, back to the house I went, in the dog door and to the kitchen where Mom had my bowl of coffee waiting. Maybe in the morning I will drink my coffee first and get a boost so I can catch that squirrel!!!! NOT!!!
