Quick Bio:
-purebred
Likes: mommy, daddy, Cooper, squeakies, walks, panties, dirty laundry, dryer sheets, blankets, going bye bye, playing with daddy, playing dropsy, having his belly rubbed, daddy's underwear, baths, balls and his "girlfriend" the KU blanket.
Pet-Peeves: Cody can't stand his meds, and he hates getting IV fluids! He hates the vet and hates hearing that he is sick.
Favorite Toy: He loves his stuffed friends with eyes and tails, love daddy's underwear. He loves shaving gel caps, toilet paper tubes, envelopes (especially window envelopes), and dad's socks (while he is still wearing them).
Favorite Food: Everything has changed, he doesn't like much of anything anymore. He still likes chicken, ham, turkey and vanilla icecream. Flossies and anything remotely yucky.
Favorite Walk: He loves to walk to the park and swing with mommy. And he loves to walk with daddy to get the mail. There are yummy pine cones by the mailbox.
Best Tricks: Fetch is his ultimate game! He can sit, lay down and come but mostly when treats are involved. He plays keep away VERY WELL. Jumping very very high to get whatever is in your hand.
Arrival Story: Don't hate me, but I haven't always liked dogs. My husband has begged for a dog for 5 years. Finally a breeder that he works with sent us some pics of his new litter. I said we could go look, but had no intentions of going home with one. Well we did. We chose between cody and his sis. His sis wanted nothing to do with us but she was so small we kept trying to get her attention. All the while Cody was all over us trying to get our attention. My husband chose Cody. Our home was an hour away and Cody slept in the crook of my neck the entire time. He has been the 2nd love of my life ever since. Second to my husband of course. And my husband loves him too. I never knew I could fall in love with a dog. A stinky, smelly, slimey, little dog. But now I can't imagine life without him.
Bio: Cody is the sweetest dog I have ever met! I was never a dog lover and reluctantly gave into my husband's requests for a dog only to fall in love with this little ball of fur. It is a love beyond words and beyond human comprehension. I still can't believe I get wet kisses, licks on the ear and have no problem wiping him after he does his business. He has wrapped me around his little paws, every one of them.
Since I first wrote Cody's bio, he has had a stroke of bad luck. He and his brother, Cooper, have both been affected by the pet food recall. He has struggled with kidney disease for a year now and he has teetered on the verge of kidney failure for the last 4-5 months now. We give him IV fluids from home and he eats whatever he wants. He is happy for now but we don't know how much longer he will stay that way :( Please keep Cody and Cooper in your thoughts.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
So mommy has told me all about snow. I have waited and waited and now we have ten inches of this doggone stuff! So I loved it at first, mommy kept taking me out so she could take some pictures (she is such a wacko with that camera). I jumped and played and sniffed and licked and mommy warned me of yellow snow. So it was great. We went to sleep and woke up and the snow was almost as high as I am. I couldn't sniff out a place to poo poo and I was really confused. I really wanted to play in this myserious wet, cold, white stuff but I needed to go poo poo too. So I just decided I'd skip the poo pooing and just play around in the snow.
Next morning I wake up and I gotta go BAD....I get outside and darn it if that snow is still there. But I can't hold it. I really gotta go. So I find a corner and squat. Funny how my poo poo just sunk and disapeared in that pretty white snow. But mommy noticed droplets of blood as I walked back in. So she wiped me and I was really bleeding. She went to tell daddy and I went back to the door cause I had to go again. Well she didn't make it in time (she was still putting on her boots) and I had to poo poo right in front of the door. But it wasn't just poo poo, there was alot of blood. Mommy freaked out and got daddy. Daddy went out and shoveled me a place to call my own so I could poo poo with no snow. And what did I do? I started throwing up. Mommy and daddy were so worried, they took me to the vet and by that time (3 hours later when they opened) I was playing, snoozing and having a dandy time. But the vet said I was ok. Must have been stress. Mommy says the snow must have stressed me out. But I really did like it. So now I have to take medicine three times a day. And the dr said I am too big for the yummy pink stuff so I have to eat the crummy pills.
What a day. I should be outside playing in the snow with daddy and instead I got this yucky throw up looking food and yucky medicine that mommy has to force down my throat. This has not been a good day. At least mommy and daddy stayed home with me. I liked that. But I went through all this and my mommy and daddy haven't even given me treats. They keep saying that mean old vet said I couldn't have any.
Every time I visit that mean old vet, it seems I have a bad day. I'll just have to try and stay away. Now how do I make sure mommy and daddy don't t take me there again? I mean seriously, why do they need to stick cold instruments in my poo poo place? Don't they know that is rude?
Oh boy! Today was so much fun!! I wondered what was up when mom and dad got up and started cooking early in the morning. The house smelled so yummy all day, I just couldn't stop licking my lips. Mom doesn't usually give me food when she cooks, but today, everything she made, she gave me a taste of. Then when mommy and daddy sat down to eat, my mommy did the most amazing thing! She got back up, got me my own grown up plate and filled it with with everything that was on mommy and daddy's plates too! At one point I fell asleep in the marshmallows and my ear got all gooey. Mommy has washed my ear 3 times now and it still looks like I have styling gel in my hair (that's what mom said, but who the heck knows what that is?) So here is the lowdown in case your mommy and daddy didn't give you any turkey day food. I really love the mashed potatos but without turkey gravy. The cranberry sauce, I can do without. The yams and marshmallows, well you see where they ended up? In my ear. The turkey was amazing!! Mommy said I couldn't have any of the green bean casserole because of the onions, but that's ok, she gave me a green bean when she was making it and it was not that great. Stuffing is good. And did I mention the turkey was delicious? I skipped my roll because I was too busy chowing down on the yummy turkey and potatos. Now I am sooooo tired because of all the tryptaphan (is that what the turkey chemical is called?) I have been sleeping on and off ever since dinner. But it was totally worth it. Me and mom went on a walk to "work off the calories" right after dinner. But I think all we did was work up our appetites again :) I hope you all got to chow down on some yummy turkey today! Time for night night. And maybe some night night turkey before I turn in.
I hated my doggy food. It was so bad, I decided I would have to tell mommy I couldn't stand it anymore. So I stopped eating it. I would sniff it when mommy put it down for me, then I would just walk away. It took her a couple weeks to figure it out but finally she gave in. Now I am the luckiest dog in the world. Now my mommy gives me peas, carrot shreds, boiled eggs, brocoli slaw, grilled chicken breast, cheese and little bits of bacon. It is so yummy!!! Now I can't wait to eat. I even think I have gotten a little belly. I just wanted to let you guys know that if you are tired of eating your yucky cold, brown mush, then tell your mommy you want some special food like me. You will never regret it! 2 paws up for my mommy!
