It's My BIRTHDAY!!!!

WOW! It's finally here ... my 4th birthday. That week between Hope's b-day and mine is the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGEST week of the year! Hope and I are roommates, and very best Pals ... so I know it's OK if you read his diary, too ... because it will tell you other things that we've been doing. We are always together ... unless maybe Daddy makes a quick trip to get his truck washed or some place like that ... then I go with Daddy and Hope stays with Mommy. My parents said that since Hope had to wait until his 4th birthday to write in his diary, that I should wait the extra week before I started mine.

Well, here goes ... I know Hope told you about our mini-vacation to Maine in the rented RV. No one knows this yet, but we're going on another trip this week coming ... in another RV. If this trip is as fun as the last one, I'm pretty sure we're going to get one. This time we're going to go fishing in Connecticut ... someplace near Long Island Sound at a big campground. We go to Connecticut a lot with our parents to shop and to go to their favorite diner (we sleep in the car while they eat) ... BUT this is way far away in Connecticut ... almost to Rhode Island. There's ponds and a river ... and the Sound is only about a mile away. I hope I can walk that far to the salt water ... if not, Daddy will carry me. I'm a "short legged" JRT ... which is why I'm so much more mellow than Hope. He 's more hyper than me and they say it's because he's taller ... sounds ridiculous to me ... what does "hyper" mean? ... I jump right along with him, but he jumps HIGHER because his legs are longer ... maybe "higher" and "hyper" mean the same.

We've made lots of new Pup Pals ... and we really LOVE it when Pup Pals actually write to us. Hope and I take turns sitting on Mommy's lap while she's at the PC ... we try to write to at least 5 Pup Pals a day. It's a lot of fun ... we've found out a lot of interesting things about other countries and other states ... one Pal, Spencer, told us about an eye disease that JRTs are prone to get ... and Mommy called the vet right away to get more info.

Hope and I got to hang out in our special room the other day while Daddy and Mommy went to the County Fair with Sable's humans. We don't have to stay in our crate while we're in that room alone ... it's upstairs ... too small for a human bedroom, but great for small dogs ... it has two nice big windows so we can look outside at the goats ... and the gave us the old sofa and a chair ... AND (I know they feel guilty when they leave us) they bought us our very own air conditioner ... how COOOOL is that? Mommy won a Second Place prize for one of her photographs ... it was of a yucky squirrel ... don't know why anyone would take a picture of a squirrel, but she did.

I got an e-mail from Dogster saying "Happy B-Day" and that I'm on the Dogster Birthday Stroll. I'm going to go check that out and see if I can make some new Pals. I'll be back later.
