My second woof-day!

Well today is my second birthday, and what a two years it has been! Born in South Carolina, moved up to Massachusetts, and now we're in Oregon! I'm just happy to be with a family that loves and cares for me.

Anyway, you guys are probably all wondering how my flight went! It actually went pretty well. At first when we were on the bus heading to the air port, I was very whiny. So Mom gave me some benedryl, and that seemed to calm me down a little. When we got to the airport, I was very sleepy. I didn't know where I was! Mom let me stick my head out of the crate while we were waiting to board the plane. But once we got on, I had to stay in.

At take off and landing, my ears hurt so I would whine, but other than that I was alright. I got to sit on Mom's lap and she stuck her fingers in the crate and gave me some ice.

I was so happy to finally get home! I had to go to the bathroom REALLY badly! But I held it for 7 hours (believe me, not an easy thing to do). I like our new house, and I am sure I'll like it even more once we get our furniture.

Hopefully I have a good day today full of treats and love!

Haven't been on much lately...

Well, I haven't updated this in a few months, so I figured I'd better update before Mom forgets alltogether!

We haven't been on dogster too much lately, Mom's afraid we've become those people who just stop coming on at all. We don't want that to happen but we've lost the spark and though dogster keeps adding more and more wonderful things, it can get boring (though I really wish it didnt).

In other news, I got to go to a Dachshund meetup again last month! And guess what! I met another dogster! Her name is Roxie and shes real fun. I got to go with Penny, Jelly Bean, Newt, Pearl, Jack, and Bella.

Ok, one last thing. I'm moving in the middle of June! Dad is already out in Oregon and bought a house, it's getting the inspection today. Looks like a real nice place, it has a fenced in backyard, paw-fect for me and another weenie!

My life isn't so interesting after all!

Hiya Diary! I haven't barked here in a while... so I figure I should give you an update.

The puppies are 1 month now, almost two. Mom really needs to get some new pictures! They are HUGE. Penny is the only long-hair, and boy does she have long hair! Oscar has my ears... and Penny has her mothers snobby attitude. Freckles has a crooked tail, just like me! They are getting big and they run around and play now. They will be going to their new homes soon.

I went to a meetup last month with my friends Penny, Jelly Bean, and Newt! And guess what.. I might be going again this saturday! Yep! There was about 30 other Doxie's there, and I had a ball.

Know what else? Penny, Jelly Bean, Newt, and Rillie got a new sister! Her name is Pearl, and she is adorable. She's getting checked by the vet today to make sure she can stay with them! I can't wait to meet her.

Know what else?? We might me moving away Mom says. Someplace far... far away. On the other side of the country that is (how far away is that?). She said that I will like it there, but I am not sure. She said that a lot of my dogster pals live out there too, but she said that I wouldnt be able to see Penny, Jelly, and Newt so much.

I've been researching here on dogster, and I found out that Choxie lives right near where we might move to. Yes, all the way in OREGON. Not cool! The only really good part is we live closer to CA and a lot of my fur-iends live out there, including the Fun Loving Five, Minnie and Winston, Snowy, Sabrina, and others. Dad's going out there this weekend to have a job interview...

Well I think thats about it... my life isn't so interesting after all!

The puppies!

Yes, thats right. The puppies were born 2 weeks ago! There were 4 born, 3 gals and one boy.Which, I dont mind so much. I can still teach him all the manly things he needs to know.

Mom and the rest of the family went to see the pups for their first time on Saturday. I didn't get to go though, because the momma gets scared when other dogs come over. They're just starting to open their eyes, their ears opened a few days ago. They are so tiny!

Anyway, back to me. On the 20th, me and my Mom ar going to a Dachshund meetup with Penny, Jelly Bean, Newt, and their Mom! We're gonna have so much fun. Afterwards, the 3 weeniegoes are coming over to play at my house. I get to show them all my toys and my favorite hiding spots.

I had a good new year, spent some time with family and got some new bones. I hope that this year will be as good as the last.

Lots of fun!

Well howldy! Guess what! On Saturday, I went to go see Penny, Jelly Bean, Newt and Rillie! I had so much fun, it was nice out so we got to play outside. They have a little fenced in area that really fun to play in. The only problem was, I found out the Newts a friend hog! Everytime I would try to get over to Penny or Jelly, Newt would push me away! Yep, thats right, he would herd me. Everyone started to say that Newt has Australlian Shepherd in him. I mean, if he was bigger and not so long, I would think so too! He's getting HUGE, 12.5 pounds already!

Anyway, it was lots of fun. Diesel and his family couldn't make it, but there was another Doxie that came later in the day. Her name was Bella, and she looked JUST like Jelly Bean, except she was a little bigger. She wasn't as friendly, but she warmed up to us later ^_^.

We exchanged gifts too! I got them a cuz ball and some good chewie bones. When we were playing with the cuz, we broke the squeeker in 5 minutes! They got me a duck, and I ripped off the feet and head already! There was a loooooot of stuffing! When I was with JB, he kept stealing my duckie. Mom didn want him to destroy it so she kept taking it away from him (he jumps really high!).

I can't wait until Christmas, it's going to be so much fun. I get to see Daisy again and get more presents!

The Winners are announced!

Well Diary, the winners are announced. It's official. I didn't win, but hey. A few of my palzzz did and thats all I can ask for!

I didn't end up voting for the best in show... I couldnt decide. But, I voted quite a few times. 2,941 to be exact. So, we'll round it up and say I voted about 3,000 times (cuz I dont know if they counted when I voted on my palzz pages).

Dogster is such a fun loving web-site. More than any dawg could ask fur. I wuff dogster!

Oh oh oh, and guess what! On the 16th, I'm gonna go visit Penny, JB, and Newtie again! Ya-hoo! It's gonna be tons of fun. (hopefully it's not raining this time!)

It's hard having short legs and a flag for a tail...

I just wanted to write on this. Mom's always loved Dachshunds and I respect her for that. I mean, we are one of a kind! But today she just couldn't hold her tounge.

She always loves to make fun of my short legs and flaggy-like tail. As you know, I'm loooong but short to the ground. That has it's plusses and it's downsides just like any other shaped dawg would have. I can't jump high, but when I stand on my two back legs I can juuuuust barely reach my nose up over the table to smell all the good Christmas treats ^_^.

This morning I was streaching and being my itchy normal self. Of course, when I streach I am veeeeerrryyyyy looonnggg. Mom always says "Aww! Look at that weiner dawg! Look at him wave his flag!" and I give her an annoyed look. I mean, I know I'm cute. But why does she always have to say it when I first wake up?

Anyway, this morning I was doing my normal routine, waiting for it. And I waited... and waited... and waited. Then, I got up, more annoyed then ever. I walked over to her and shoved my nose in her face. 'Why didn't you say I was cute this morning? Huh! Huh?' is what I said to her. She just looked at me and smiled. "I know that deep down, you really liked it." was her answer. For the love of dog! I don't really like it... I just have to keep her in line is all. Sheesh. Really...

Anyway, besides my horrible morning, my Thanksgivng was Ok. I played a lot but I think that I ate too much. I went to the eeeevviiilllll vet yesterday and he said that I gained a half a pound! :-O. That couldn't be! Man... I'm getting out of shape... 10 1/2 pounds and you can still see my ribs! But, I do have a lot of muslce so that must count for SOMETHING... right?

I've finally finished. I've been voting my paws off the past few days, trying to make up for my procrastination of putting it off. The worlds coolest dog and cat show ends tonight. IT'S NOT OVER YET??!?!?!?!?

I'm reeeal happy :)

Well howldy diary. I'm reeeal happy right now and maybe I should explain why...

Well it all started last week when Mom brought me to church with the rest of the family. Now don't get me wrong, I love church, I just hate it how the kids are allll over me. They always want to hug me, and walk me, and pet me and such. Like I said before, it's like a puparazzi. Maybe they're not so bad after all...

Regardless, it was a little chilly that night and I only wanted to snuggle up with Mom in a blanket. But no, she had to work at he church. Jeez, as if she doesn't work enough. So right about then I started to get *eh* a little bored. I mean, how could you not? There was no other girls there and to top it off, I missed Penny, JB, Newtie, and Deisel.

So I'm a little bored, a little homesick, and a little upset. So of course I'm trying to eat everything in sight (I get hungry when I get bored!). As I was looking around, Mom started talking to this lady. I didn't care much, shes always blabbing her mouth off with someone.
Then the next thing I know (as soon as I spot a hotdog... naturally), I'm swept off my feet and the lady was holding me. Mom handed her the leash and I started to get nervous. Mom wouldn't give me up like that... right? I mean she loves me... right? That was when I started to get real nervous. I'd just remembered that I had an accident in her room this morning and she was NOT happy. Maybe she was still upset...

So basically next I hear, "He's perfect." I started to shake. I didn't want to go with this scary lady! I tried to jump out of her arms but she held me back. Is started to whine. I was scared. This lady puts me in her car and then I hear them blabbing again. Next thing I know, Mom came in the car too! I jumped on her lap and snuggles down. I was happy that she wasn't giving me away.

We drove for a looong time (45 whole minutes!) until we got to the lady's house. Boy was I in for a big suprise when I got there. There were 3 other dogs there. 2 weenies (like me) and a biiiig yellow lab! When I first got there, us dogs were let outside. The girl weenie didn't like me too too much... she was a little mad at me. She seemed a little 'out of whack' I should say.

After we went outside, we came back in and the yellow lab (Katie) and the boy Dachshund (Isaac) went downstairs. I was left with the evil one. I was a little nervous... but I knew that something was up. She sure did smell funny.

So come to find out she was in heat (o_O) and I'll spare you the gory details.

Anyway, I'm reeeeeeal happy now. I'm gonna be a Dad! :-). Isn't that cool?
