My new shake and being a fly catcher

For the last year or so, daddy's been feeding me instead of mom. Mom is easy, she always asks for me to do the same thing before giving me food. But daddy often asks me to do different things, so I go through my repetoire of tricks as fast as possible! Sometimes I do it two or three times! Yesterday morning daddy asked me to shake. Sometimes he wants me to shake with my right hand, and sometimes with my left. So I figured I'd hedge my bets and shake with both hands at the same time! Daddy thought it was hillarious and gave me my breakfast.

After breakfast I spent most of my day catching flies! It's been really hot lately, so mom and dad have kept windows open and the window fan in. There aren't many bugs here in California, so noone has any screens on their windows. But apparently there are some flies that got in because of the open windows and such! I guess it was a lot cooler in our house than outside, so they came in to try to hang out. Well, they didn't get to hang out for long! I caught three flies yesterday-- it took a while of stalking the flies, and several false starts when I didn't catch them. But eventually I did it, I rid the house of flies!
