This year's gathering is going to be the largest and longest event in PSDS history! We are so excited to have so many people able to attend, and can't wait to meet and enjoy spending time with everyone. This is the first year the gathering is being held on the West Coast, thanks to Clos Pepe's generous donation of space.
As many of you may remember, this winter PSDS was swindled out of $5,000 by a fake fundraiser. These monies were intended to provide the bulk of support for the PSDS gathering this year. Nevertheless, PSDS is providing shuttles to and from the airport to the vineyard, portable showers, toilets, sink and generator, and to providing a full dinner on Saturday night. We are also providing the main course for the Friday night chili potluck, and renting vans to transport attendees to various events (dog show, beach, brunch in town etc) during the weekend.
We are still attempting to acquire donations from major grocery retailers in the area, but it has become apparent that the bulk of the funds for the gathering will have to come from PSDS. Our goal is to raise an additional $2,000 to help pay for this event.
Please consider making a donation to PSDS to help pull this gathering off. Any amount is appreciated! If everyone on this listserv donated just $5, we would be able to raise $1,895! That is just a little shy of our target of $2,000! If a few people can afford to contribute $50, $100, or even $250, out goal would be met in no time.
