Arrival Story:
We bought Max from a woman who owns a guard dog company. When we went to pick him up we met Max's father, Bear, a purebred Rottweiler. We were told that Max was also a full Rottie puppy, and at 7 weeks, he looked just like his daddy. We didn't have any reason to suspect otherwise... until he started to grow and grow and GROW. Much taller than a Rottweiler and just as broad, we've concluded he's a pure Rott/German Shepherd mix. His mama must be one BIG guard dog! Although we were hoodwinked, we definitely got the very best of both breeds. Max is a super smart dog, steadfastly obedient, and as sweet as can be. And at 155 pounds, he's truly a gentle giant.
