Sunday morning, after I finished breakfast, I went to my spot at the front window to make sure all was well in the 'hood. It was fine at first, but I started going nuts and getting super excited and making these strange high-pitched yelps/barks (I've never heard myself make these sounds before!)! My parents came out and they finally saw what had made me so excited - a squirrel was running about on the other side of the street! (Silly them, they thought I was getting excited about the bird hanging out in the garden.)

I followed the squirrel through all the windows on the top floor - for some reason, Mr. Squirrel didn't see me. So, I figured, if I went into the backyard, he'd hear me, he would come over and play. That idea didn't work, so I went back upstairs to my window and now he was crossing the street in front of my house!!

I yelped and yelped until Mr. Squirrel disappeared into the neighbor's tree.

But now, I sit at my window in the mornings and wait patiently for him to come back.
