Mommy's Birthday

Today is my mommy's birthday, WOOF WOOF! I love her and she loves me =) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!

Today I met Oscar

So this weekend Mommy and I visited Daddy for a second weekend in a row. But this weekend was different because I met a new friend, his name is Oscar! Oscar's mommy and daddy are my Daddy's friends. Oscar is a brown Daschund, he's a cutey pie. I want to play with him, but he's still a baby and everyone thinks I might play too ruff. I can't wait til he grows up so I can finally have a playmate everytime I visit Richmond!

On another note, the weather has been getting nice outside. I hope Mommy and Daddy will take me to a great big park so I can play and meet lots of friends soon! Fetch ya later!

First Birthday

So March 8 was my First Birthday! It was a great day, the day right after Daddy's birthday. Mommy and Daddy got me lots of new deeelicious treats and even a brand new red bandana that I've always wanted. They even got me a big girl collar. Its speckled black with red hearts. Everyone greeted me a very Happy Birthday and everyone says I look like a big girl already. Over all it was a good doggy day!

This whole week was Daddy's spring break. He took care of me the whole week while Mommy was at home. It was the greatest. I miss him already! Anyways, I have to go back to playing with my toys downstairs. Fetch ya later!

6 Months Woof!!!

Okay so apparently i've still got some fans who still read my dogster and are wondering why i haven't written in a while =) Anyways last Thursday was my 6 month birthday. Mommy showered me with lots of love and attention just like any other day. My Auntie Lorna came over cause her and mommy watched OC and Reunion. I got to play around and everyone greeted me with happy bday. I feel all grown up now. Everyone says that they don't want to me to get any bigger, me either cause i think i'll keep getting a lot of attention from everyone if i stay this way hehe. anyways sooo mommy is letting me sleep with her on her bed now. i think its a great way for us to get closer. i hardly go in that crate anymore, its a good thing cause honestly i don't fit in there anymore im a big girl now! well thanks everyone for still checking up on me. until next time, its time to get some puppy beauty sleep. Fun Filled Weekend

So mommy took me to the park this weekend. It was great. She took me off that string thing so that I could run around as I please. This was the first time she really let me off that thing so I decided to be a good girl and not run so far away cause I didn't want to be tied down again. She brought my ball and I had fun going after it even though she threw it reeeally far. It was fun. I dug my first hole too! It was great. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt. She kept laughing at me. Maybe it was because I got all covered in dirt. When we got back home I had to take a dreaded bath. I should have known getting all dirty was too good to be true! Mama has been taking me on car trips lately. Im starting to like riding shot gun.

Today Mama was teaching me to lay down. It took me a while. I was just too anxious for the treats she was waving at me that I couldn't pay attention. But I got it after a while. She was so proud of me! She got me to roll over a few times, but I guess that will just have to wait another day. Fetch ya later!

A Mini Husky?

Okay so my mommy and I always get a kick out of all the strangers that come up to us and asks my mommy what kind of puppy I am. I know I know the most common comment is that I look like a little fox. But today two strangers thought I was a husky pup. My mommy gladly told them I was a shiba inu, a japanese dog breed and proud of it! Do any of my fellow shiba inu pals ever get that comment?

So I finally came across this black and white husky fellow on the second floor. Mommy was taking me outside and he was coming up the stairs. His owner said not to worry, that he wouldn't hurt me, he just wanted to say hi. He came up to me and we just said hello. He was so big and tall compared to me that I had to get up to his neck and give him a little hug. He was probably 5 times as big as me but he sure was a gentle, friendly and might I add handsome fellow. My mommy thought so too! Too bad they're moving out. Fetch ya later!

Birthday Celebrations

So June 8 was my 3 month birthday. Woof! I got extra love and attention and lots of petting and belly rubs. Papa came into town. He's been taking me outside every time. Mama laughs cause Papa still needs lots of practice with me, that's what she says. But I'm training him well and he gets better everyday with me. He's observing all my quirks too, but I still keep them on their toes. I was really excited when Papa got here, until they put me in the tub and gave me a bath. It was awful, I cried and whimpered the whole time. I couldn't wait to do my Shiba 500 around the room to get all dry. They thought I was crazy, but I enjoyed them trying to catch me. They went shopping for me and got me new treats and more dog food. It was deeeeelicious.

The following day was Mama's 23 birthday. Since it was my birthday the day before, we had a little celebration Thursday. We wore birthday hats and took lots of pictures cause not only was it my 3 month birthday the day before but I was Mama's birthday present from Papa. Homecoming

So i've been with my Mama for almost three weeks now. I have to admit, I was really shy and reserved when I first arrived to Virginia. Born in Colorado, it seemed like Virginia was just a whole other scene for me, I had to check it out first and get to know everyone before I showed my real personality. I've been traveling from Virginia Beach to Blacksburg cause Mama is taking a class at Virginia Tech to finish her degree in Electrical Engineering. I love both places but I have to admit, I enjoy Virginia Beach more because I am showered with lots of attention from Mama's family. Everyone loves me! They think im so cute and thought I was a very good girl when I first arrived. I don't mind the road trip from Virginia Beach to Blacksburg. I sleep the whole ride through while Mommy drives. I miss Daddy though cause he's in MCV in Richmond studying to become a Doctor of Pharmacy. See my Mama and Papa are both really smart. But Daddy comes to visit me and Mommy every chance he gets and im always excited to see him! I make sure he knows it too because I always shower him with kisses! I've been testing Mama's patience lately. I know she has to study but sometimes I just want her to play with me. She's slowly learning my little quirks and we're getting into a daily routine. We're definitely developing a strong relationship. Ok, time to take a puppy nap. Fetch ya later!
