A day in the life of the Shmee

Long time no write, but it's a busy life...

Hi, my entry won't be as long as Daisy's because nobody can get a word in edgewise around her.

I'm Isaac, and I'm about 10 years old now. It's hard to tell because nobody knows exactly when I was born. It was somewhere in the Bronx that the CACC found me, and it was from that facility that I was rescued and Fostered by a wonderful woman named Inge who runs a Terrier BootCamp up in Sullivan County, NY. She rescued me, cleaned me up and trained me a little. (Ok, a lot, but I forgot most of it).

Then Mom and Dad found me on petfinder, and the rest is history. It's been almost 9 years since they first came to get me, and I love living here. I am terrified of thunderstorms, and I get upset sometimes when the LittlePerson tries to hug me (she's stronger than she thinks and she giggles a lot!) but I am really a big moosh. I scare people because of my teeth (they stick out so I look like I've got my hackles raised but really I just have an underbite...theories include that I was smooshed at birth!)

I am kinda smelly now because I really hate baths. Hopefully soon I'll get my summer haircut and be all sleek and velvety. I like when they leave my ear feathers on though, because I think they're pretty and very unique.

I love sleeping. I love to sleep on the bed in Dad's spot (when he goes to work) and I love to sleep on the floor next to Mom when she camps out in the LittlePerson's room when LittlePerson gets sad and cries in her sleep. I am Mom's shadow. I am everywhere she wants to be. Nobody is ever lonely when Isaac is home- I follow them everywhere and make sure they know that I love them. They say my breath is bad but I won't let them brush my teeth (go ahead, try, I DARE ya..) and ALso that I am Too Old To Risk Vet Scaling Teeth Because The Anesthesia Might Make Me Sleep Forever and they don't want to lose me.

That's good, because I don't wanna be lost, either. I love my people, and my girlfriend Daisy and even our cat friends, Bernadette and Simon.

Mom needs to go stop the LittlePerson now, she's spread paper towels all over the floor and Mom is getting that weird eyeball twitch she gets when the LittlePerson does bad things. Then Mom sighs a lot and drinks more Diet Pepsi and hugs me and tells me what a good boy I am.

I am, too.

Have a nice weekend everyone! Make sure to check out my Pup Pals, I have some really handsome and pretty ones!
