Mackenzie was a Great Plains subspecies of wolf at the International wolf center of Ely, Minnesota. She passed away in her sleep on May 21st, 2008 at the age of 15. The cause of death is still unknown. Lakota is Mackenzie's sister and I'm sure this has devasted Lakota because out of the four siblings that came to the wolf center in 1993 as pups, Lakota is the only one left. My sympathy goes out to Lakota.

My owner does her workstudy there from late August to early May and this was a unexpected blow to her because she worked at the center for two years now and Mackenzie was one of her favorites as well as Lakota.

May you Rest in Peace Mackenzie
