Arrival Story:
We adopted Spike from a family who no longer wanted him. They advertised in the company newsletter so we made an appointment to meet him at their house. We took Peanut and they had a great time running around together. We "borrowed" him for 3 days during my birthday weekend and were going to give him back because he was so afraid of Peanut. The day we were going to return him, he started chasing Peanut around the deck. I think he wanted to stay :).
He didn't have much training and barked a lot because he was bored. They had a crappy cheap shock collar on him that would go off for no reason. Once we started training him, and he had Peanut around for company, he barked a lot less. (And we got rid of that shock collar as soon as we took him home!)
We've had him since July 2003. He's a sweet little guy who's very playful.
