Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Likes:
frisbee, chasing shadows (some day he'll catch one!), chasing his tail, pushing things with his nose to see if, and how much, they move

Pet-Peeves:
when his younger sister bites his ankles, loud noises, things that might fall and make loud noises, the kitchen--even though it produces yummy treats, Kate makes way too many loud noises in there!

Favorite Toy:
anything that creates drool

Favorite Food:
pig ears

Favorite Walk:
around the neighborhood and to the dog park

Best Tricks:
twisting twice, flying through the air, and then catching the frisbee. Also, "mind your drool!" When we tell him this, he drops his drool-creating toy, licks it clean, and licks his mouth free of drool, then goes back to shadow chasing.

Arrival Story:
One weekend, we were going to go to Ogden but we got a dog instead. We were going to just "look" at the humane society on our way up there...yeah, right! He was being fostered by a woman who went on and on about what an amazing young dog he was. It was his first day at the shelter and she was hovering near his cage all morning looking for the right people to take him. He had been rescued from someone who had dragged him and hung him from his leash. Luckily, this has left no lasting effects on him except that he hates to walk on leash. His foster mom had cared for him, socialized him, and trained him well. We are so lucky she saw something in us that day. We picked him, but also she picked us.

Bio:
From the day we got him, he's been perfect. He never chewed anything except his toys, and never got into trouble as a puppy. He learned to sit, stay, heel and lie down almost immediately. We almost called him Ogden, but instead went with Shed - a devoted, bisexual, half-breed character from the novel The Man Who Fell in Love with the Moon. Shed is very much like his namesake. He's a lover not a fighter. He lets his little sister Ida boss him around and generally treat him like her love slave, but when we go out to play frisbee, he's all business and won't let her beat him to a catch. He's been called both a "gentleman" and a "crazy dingo dog."
