 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: March 29th 2002
Likes: Walks, riding in the car with her nose to the wind and she loves to give kisses.

Pet-Peeves: Cats and birds - - especially those ducks! Oh, and according to the Chronicle, beavers upset her (see below).

Favorite Toy: Sometimes a tennis ball captivates her -- she bats it around, pounces on it and chases it by herself, like a cat. The stuffed toys she either eviscerates in a matter of moments or buries in the yard for evisceration at a later date.

Favorite Food: She'll eat just about anything. Lately she prefers Gravy Train. And whatever she can hoover up off the sidewalk when we're not paying attention.

Favorite Walk: We've started letting her off leash in certain areas. Her new favorites are Ft. Funston and Glen Park Canyon -- but one day she followed some joggers all the way to the top of the canyon wall. Poop-Daddy got so nervous, she may not get off leash again.

Best Tricks: Singing Woo-woo-woo. The Woo Dance. Opening the medicine cabinet to look for fun dog chew toys, such as fancy French soap. Jump up and clap paws!

Arrival Story: Tasha was incarcerated at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control. She had been picked up wandering the streets with no collar, tags, or microchip. No one came to claim her. Her jailors called her "Gucci" and put her up for adoption. She was adopted once, but it did not work out. Her new home was to be shared with a cat, and Tasha does not do well with cats. Chaos ensued and the lovely waif found herself returned rather promptly to her prison cell where she was to be held indefinitely. Happily for her and for us, she was still languishing behind bars when on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, we happened into Animal Care and Control looking for a new dog. When we got to Tasha's kennel, she began to sing to us through her bars, "woo-woo-wooooo." Her siren song and piercing ice blue eyes proved irresistible. Do see Garth's bio for some updates on Miss Woo's personality.

Bio: The veterinarians at San Francisco Animal Care and Control put Tasha's age at about 3 years old at the time of her adoption. Since she had no formal history, they refered to her as a "Siberian Husky mix" but everyone who knows the breed says she's almost certainly pure Husky. She likes to sleep in. She's not fond of the back yard and would prefer to stay on her big green chair all day (except for walks -- she loves walks).

Forums Motto: Woo woo woooo!
