Birthday: September 28th 2002 Likes: 1) Being at the dog shows, being in the show ring, hanging with his buddies after... ;2) going to preschools with my mom as part of the AKC Canine Ambassador program, I love little children; 3) Going on long hikes with my pals. Especially when its muddy Pet-Peeves: 1) When Virgil and Millie left me to go to the Rainbow Bridge. That sucked. 2) When people walk right by without noticing me. Rarely happens. Favorite Toy: a stick Favorite Food: Carrots, celery and Frosty Paws Favorite Walk: downtown first, the beach(Floyd gets more belly rubs downtown) Best Tricks: begging for belly rubs Arrival Story: I saw Floyd's breeder on Animal Planets "That's My Baby". I fell in love with her Bassets temperment and type. I contacted her, we met, and I waited for her next litter. I told her I was looking for pet quality. Who me in the show ring??? After Floyd was born she convinced me to try showing him. The rest as they say is history.... Bio: Floyd lived with 2 other Basset Hounds who recently left us for the Rainbow bridge, 14 year old Virgil and 12 year old Millie. We are currently looking for a new companion for him and hopefully within the next few months will have a new Basset Hound to keep him company. Because I want another show dog, we are taking our time until we find just the right one to join our family.
Update: While still waiting for the perfect Basset girl to be born, we aquired China Moon, a bloodhound puppy. She is grwoing like a weed and has the entire family wrapped around her paws including Pretty Boy Floyd. They play non-stop. Please visit her page and say hi! Forums Motto: My fans call me Mr. Delicious! Interesting Fact: Floyd qualified for the January 2006 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show by finishing the awards year ranked in the top 25 of his breed (always owner/handled).

I can't believe that I'm a finalist in THREE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES in the World's Coolest contest!!!
(Floyd doing his best politician impersonation)
hmhmhmh (clears throat)...
"I'd like to thank all of those that poked my pictures five paws. Now please go back and poke me with a Best in Show vote. If elected I will (try) to make sure that there is a Frosty Paw in every dog bowl"
...leaves podium, shakes paws and licks babies. But can't get out the door because his head has swollen to big.....
Francis Rocks and I made it into the Dogster Dog blog today. Seems Francis told them about how I gave him my dog stroller that I won in the "World's Coolest Dog and Cat" contest. I am to big for the stroller but Francis fits. Then, shortly after the stroller arrived, Francis injured his shoulder and had to lay off it for awhile. Abra Cadabra, the stroller becomes a wheelchair and Francis gets to recuperate while still being able to be out and about. Glad to help little buddy.
Well I'm not really a snobby dog. But I am a Slobb(er)y dog. But mom went ahead and entered me in the Snobby Dog photo contest. Please go to the below link and take a gander at my photo entry. If so inclined please vote for me. I am about half way down under the title "King Barkus" (the titles are alphabetical). I'm in my Mardi Gras finery.
