Lassie was adopted today. Her new Mom is a prosecutor who use to prosecute animal abuse cases. She is very excited to have Lassie. Good luck baby, you're in good hands.

I forgot to add that Lassie really does well with children. She's very gentle with them and one time the 8 month old grandson fell back and sat right on her tail and she didn't even flinch.

Lassie is a sweetheart and stations herself where she can guard the area. If we go through a door, she sits by that door until you return. So we have to be careful when returning through that door so we don't hit her with the door. At night she stays in the hallway where she can keep an eye on things until the early morning when she might move to a bedroom. She definitely has the sheep herder instincts. When excited, she will poke you in the back of the leg just as a sheep herding dog would do to the sheep. She doesn't play but when playing with the boys outside she'll try to run next to them and nip them in the hind quarter. With Shadow's shedding she ends up with a mouth of fur. When she first came here she had a problem getting into the trash, but that is no longer a problem. She barks whenever the phone rings, that is her only issue and that's pretty minor.
