Big Hearts, Small Backyards

I love all dogs no matter how big or small, hairless, or what color they may be. My mom feels the same way but she says it could be a bad thing. We adopted Baby a few months ago and now she has found a new home with a wonderful family. How could her stay with us have been bad? Homer is here with us also in hopes to find a loving family. I hope he stays. I guess it was a little crowded here and feeding time was a frenzy if we weren't seperated. Perhaps I understand now. I know that if mom had not brought Baby to our home she may have never found a home so the sacrifice we all had to make was worth it. I wish more people could do that. I see a lot of adoptable dogs on Dogster that have loving foster homes and that makes me happy. I miss Baby but I know she is happy with that little girl and a new mom and dad. I hope Homer does too. I guess what I am trying to say is if you are taking the time to read this and you have some room foster a pup or adopt a hound. It was hard at times but that's what family is about right? A few months could mean a lifetime for some dogs. I love my mom and dad for being so generous. I don't like sharing my mom but I made it through this far. Even when space seems small imagine being locked up in those horrible kennels at the pound. So for all you big hearted people who unfortunately have small backyards keep in mind, if there is room in your heart that's all a pup needs. Hope I am not being too philisophical for some of you. For the love of Dogs, Wes
