11 Weeks

I met my mom and auntie muppetsan on November 25, 2011. They picked me up that day around 3 pm. We went straight to Tisol in Burnaby to pick up some supplies for me. Then we went to the Vet for a health check. The Vet made us wait 2 hours because we didn't have an appointment. I was a very good girl and held my pee for 3 hours. We finally got home around 6 pm. Daddy was waiting anxiously to meet me. I peed on pee pad and impressed everyone.

I slept like a baby on the first night. Mommy and Daddy bought me a nice crate and a play pen. I was a good girl and didn't whine too much on the first night although I did miss my siblings.

My previous owner fed me cheap food so Mommy and Daddy switched it to something better. My stomach didn't agree with food and I had diarrhea by Day 3. Daddy bought me some canned pumpkin which helped but I still had soft stool for the next week.

Mommy and Daddy were worried so they took me to the vet after a week and i was put on antibiotics and put on Medi Cal Gastrointestinal Food. I gained almost a pound after the first week with my new family. I really enjoy eating this food and don't chew. I gobble it up in about 20 seconds. Mommy and Daddy changed my kibble to a better brand and I enjoy it much more than the other stuff.

So Daddy's coworker thought my parents were feeding me too much so i am on a strict diet and my food has been cut back a bit. I'm still content as my stomach has gotten a bit smaller now. I hope to stay slim and be no more than 6 lbs full grown.

I have gone to work with my mom twice this week and was a good girl for the most part. On Day 2, I did do some barking and I know Mommy wasn't too impressed. I went to Daddy's work place yesterday and was a bit hit. Everyone gave me hugs and kisses and I impressed everyone by my cute looks and peeing on the pee pad.

I have met lots of great people. Met muppetco, my aunt and uncle and human cousin (Christian), Auntie Bonnie, Des and Brandon, and some of my neighbors. I'm meeting Madelaine, Bob and Sean tonite. Will write later with an update.

12 Weeks

I turned 12 weeks this week. Mommy took me to the vet to get my second vaccinations. We saw my favorite doctor, Dr Leung. I squealed during the injection but I was ok afterwards. I went home and Mommy let me sleep. She came to check on me in an hour and discovered that I couldn't walk properly. I was limping and couldn't put pressure on my front paws. Mommy thought I broke my leg. Auntie Muppetsan and Coco came over right away and we went back to the Vet's office. They didn't know what was wrong with me so they had to do an Xray of both my front legs. They later discovered that I am allergic to vaccinations and will need an anti-histamine before every injection in the future. I got pain medications and poor Mommy went home with a Vet bill for $160. I then went home and hung out with Mommy, Auntie Muppetsan and Coco for a few hours. Coco barked at me to play with her but I really wasn't feeling so hot. I learned the work TREAT this weekend. I like it when Coco comes over because I get more treats than usual.

I've been off my game the last few days. Must be from the vaccination and the pain meds. I met Hayley and Maddie and Auntie Anna this weekend but I wasn't at my best. I barked a lot and the kids were scared of me. They brought me lots of gifts which is always good. They did bring me a few outfits and I had to pose in them but you know how I feel about clothes. I still can't get use to something wrapped around my body. I like my birthday suit best.

Hope I feel better soon and stop worrying my Mommy and Daddy. I'm getting tired of going to the Vet too.

14 Weeks

I'm now 14 weeks old. The last few weeks were pretty exciting. No more visits to the Vet so I'm happy. I really hate using the leash but Mommy and Daddy decided that I needed it because I'm getting more adventurous. Mommy was off for 12 days so we did some major bonding. I also saw Auntie Muppetsan and Coco quite a bit. My first Christmas was good. I got lots of gifts from all my aunties and uncles. I think I did ok. These are the gifts I received:

Auntie Madelaine and Uncle Bob - 2 bags of treats, and a Kong.
Auntie Anna and Uncle Chris, Hayley & Maddie - Gingerbread toy, Christmas tree toy, a sweater, purple puffy coat

Auntie Bonnie, Uncle Derrick, Brandon and Des - Lots of Christmas Toys and a bag of treats
Auntie Muppetsan and Coco - 2 bags of treats and Chews
Mommy and Daddy - Squeaky toy and treats

I'm growing daily and getting smarter too. My senses are kicking in. I know when my parents come home because I can hear the car alarm and the gate. I wait by my pen for them. I see them peeking through the window when they get home.

New Years was pretty uneventful. We all went to bed at 10 pm. I was too tired to stay up for the countdown. I'm looking forward to 2012. I have my final vaccinations on Jan 14, 2012 and then I will be able to go out everywhere. Until next time...

20 weeks

It's been a while since my last entry. I've been busy growing up. I had my first visit to the groomers on Feb 3, 2012. My parents took me to Pet Shop Boys on Cambie St. This place is pretty sweet - it's like a spa there. My parents paid $85 for my day at the spa. Not sure how much money that is but I think it's a lot. It was a bit of a traumatizing experience for me. I was pretty excited to see new faces when I got there. I was there for about 4 hours. It took a long time and I was exhausted by the time my parents picked me up. They were a bit shocked when the lady brought me out. I definitely looked different. My apricot color is definitely growing out more blonde and my curls are all gone after my haircut. I was a good girl. I held my pee for 4 hours. Had to go when I got home. Actually I peed on the floor in the basement.

Then Auntie Muppetsan came over with my DOOD friend, Coco. I was pretty excited to see them and peed all over the floor again. Auntie Muppetsan picked me up and i peed all over her too. She didn't seem too impressed. I was off my game that night.

I recently got my first chuck it ball and love it. I think I'm obsessed with the ball like my friend Coco. Mommy bought me a glow in the dark ball. I don't know why but I keep rolling it under the couch and then I have to get Mommy or Daddy to get the ball back for me.

I'm getting spayed on March 23, 2012 and getting my hernia fixed. I hope the surgery goes well. I'm a bit nervous but I'm going to enjoy playing and jumping before the surgery date.

31 weeks

Hi Everyone.

It's been a while since my last entry. I've been busy growing up. I've grown a lot in the last few months. I went to Puppy Preschool for 6 weeks, got spayed, had hernia surgery and got 10 teeth pulled out.

Let's just say it hasn't been a fun few months. I'm feeling much better these days. I'm now about 6.5 lbs and it doesn't look like I'm done growing yet. Mommy and Daddy thought they were getting a toy poodle (boy were they ever fooled). My curls are growing out straight and I'm looking more and more like a Yorkie Poo. I'm sure they still love me anyway.

I'm losing my puppy face and starting to look more like an adult. I'm pretty spoiled. I get lots of treats and lots of nice things. I got a new jacket recently and an anxiety jacket which I don't really mind much. Daddy bought me a collar from Coach but Mommy wants to get me a LV one. They are waiting till we go to Portland and then they will buy it for me. I recently got a Chewy Vuitton Purse and a Sniffany & Co toy. I love them so much.

I'm getting my second haircut this week. I hope they do a good job. Summer is coming and I'm planning to hang out at the dog park where I can go off leash. I love running around.

I met some new friends recently, Billy and Buddy. They are fellow poods and I like them. Hopefully I will see them more often.

Anyway, gotta get back to napping. Write back later.

33 weeks

Hi again.

I'm 33 weeks old now. I'm still growing. Mommy weighed me at Tisol the other day and I'm 6.8 lbs. I'm bigger than I'm suppose to be. Just got my 2nd haircut last week at the pet shop boys. It turned out great and I smelled so good. It only took 2 hours this time - the first time was almost 5 hours. My parents suspected that I got sedated the first time but this time I didn't. My mommy wants to get me some of that shampoo so I can smell like that all the time. Mommy bought me a Prada (Pawda) bag last week. Daddy added to my collection by getting me a Christian Dior (Dogior) bag yesterday. I'm pretty spoiled.

Last weekend, we drove to Tulalip Premium Outlet Mall. I had fun even though it was a long drive. I slept in the car for some of the way.

We are going to Portland next month. It'll be a much longer drive but my parents think I'll be able to make it. They bought me a new smaller crate so that I will have a place to sleep. I plan on sleeping on the bed though.

Just last week, I was able to jump on the bed. Can't believe that my parents let me sleep there sometimes. Usually I have to sleep in my crate but I wake up around 2-3 am and then they let me sleep on the bed for a few hours until they wake up for work. I sleep better on the bed anyway.

The weather has been real nice lately. It's getting warm in the house and in the car. I won't be able to travel too much in the car when it's too hot out.

Anyway, I have to play with my toys now. I'll write again later.

41 weeks

It's been a fast year. I'm almost 10 months old. I got weighed yesterday and now I'm 7.6 lbs. I've been keeping myself busy these days.

In early June, Mommy, Daddy and I went to Portland for 3 nights. It was pretty fun. We walked downtown Portland and went to the outlet malls. I was lucky that it wasn't that warm during that time. My parents went to some Oregon Vineyards but I had to stay outside in the car because pets are not allowed inside. Daddy bought me a modern couch. I sit on it occasionally but feel a bit scared jumping off it because the landing is very hard. I didn't get my LV collar because they sold out. Mommy and Daddy were a bit disappointed. Since Portland, I've been allowed to sleep on the bed. I really like sleeping on a bed and only sleep in my crate during the day when they are at work.

Yesterday I had to go to the vet again. I had an ear infection in both ears. I think it was from my 3rd grooming at Pet Shop Boys. They may have gotten some water in my ears. Anyway, they had to sedate me to flush my ears and administer some medications. Needless to say, it was not a cheap bill again. Mommy and Daddy were not that impressed and may be looking for another vet.

So my ears are still a darker shade than the rest of my fur but it looks like it's growing out. I hope my ears stay a darker than the rest of my fur. It gives me character. Mommy and Daddy love the different colors.

I got a bunch of new designer toys lately. I got a Chewnel Bone, Dog Verse Shoe, Chewy Vuiton ball and a i Bone.

Not much else to report. I'll write again. I'm spending the weekend with Auntie Muppetsan and Coco. Mommy and Daddy are going to Vegas without me. Boo Hoo :(
