In the life of a Chihuahua, Sugar B

Tip to irresponsible people who foster dogs.

I am an older dog who was very fortunate to have a great first family, and now, the last 5 years with this family and they are great too. Mommy, Daddy, and Jade are very loving, and compassionate to all of us. They have plenty of love to go around and we are all treated equally. So with that being said and you knowing I am an older dog, you probably have figured out how wise I am by now.

Well yesterday while Mommy was busy, I got on her laptop (she says we shouldn't because we do not know anything about computers, but I am well educated and wise). I was flipping through ads on Craigslist and in the wanted section there was someone who claims to be fostering dogs. She was slighlty indicating that she wanted someone to donate sheets to her for the dogs she was fostering. Well, as a human when you take a puppy/dog in you should understand that there is a financial obligation that comes with us. So, if you are a foster mom or dad, or family you should take responsibility for the animals in your care. My human family financially supports me and my pup family 100%. If you cannot afford the pups/dogs you should not have any.

Sheets and blankets are very cheap at your local thrift store. If you have old clothes hanging around the house you can use that for them.

People may not think we understand what is going on, but our senses are very keen, very strong. We understand stress, happiness, and love. We know when something is going on and it involces us. Over the many decades we have become domesticated, we have learned humans language, we feel what our humans feel.

So lady from Craigslist, if you read this, please give foster pups/dogs to someone who can afford them. You asking for a handout for a responsibility you took on makes you look very bad and it hurts my heart to see that there are pup/dogs out there who are in need. Those fostered animals in your care are in my prayers as all animals who are homesless and abused are.
