My Momma always hands out candy to the trick or treaters but she also carves A Christian Pumpkin and maybe you would like to do this too. I sure hope you do!

Carve the eyes like 2 stars, the nose like a cross and the mouth like a fish. Here is the story to go along with it:

I am a Jack O' Lantern
My Lights will shine so bright
For I am A Christian Pumpkin
My symbols tell what's right

My Nose is like the cross
On which our Savior died
To set us free from sin
We no longer need to hide

My mouth is like a fish
The whole wide world to show
That Christians live in this house
And love their Savior So!

The story starts at Christmas
My eyes are like the star
That shone on Baby Jesus
And wise men saw from far

My color it is orange
Just like the big bright sun
That rose on Easter Day
Along with God's own Son

And so on Halloween
Lets set our pumpkins out
And tell the trick or treaters
What God's love is all about!

You're Welcome Mr Jack! It's Mommas way of leting others know that Halloween doesn't have to be nothing but evil and scary things and we do love Jesus in our home.

Your Welcome Crystal and we think it's beautiful too.

On Christmas Eve we have a Birthday Party for Jesus. It's a family tradition that Mommas Great Grandmother started.

You are right...this end of October and the days prior to it make growlmy shudder and think its Satan's work to pull poor unknowledgeable and gullible peeps into his sordid nets.
We always have told neighbors that we do not 'do' this festival,and mostly we have gone to church services, because as you may or may not know it is also the day that Martin Luther posted his '95 Theses' on the doors of his church, the start of the Reformation...and we are protestant reformers of Dutch and Danish/German background. If grolmy finds the right peep to speak with she is always ready with her anti-Halloween concepts.
Raster and Christmas too have been toatlally removed from their true meanings, but there are still some fragments if you dig deep enough...

Of course I as a pup just go with the flow, and growlmy even has a pic of me with a witch hat on, BOL!

Interesting read Mr Jack..Monnie and Roscoe just go with the flow like you and of course they love the next morning when they scout the yard for candy that has been dropped...Momma makes them drop most of it but they keep the fruit snacks..no chocolate or gum for sure.

No candy here...though sometimes I might find something along my stroll route, Mmmm, BOL!
(We live semi-rurally, so there are not many little people walking about here, though sometimes there are older ones being naughty!)
I too have to 'leave it' mostly, shucks!
