I am a Mother

On March 26, 2009 Moxie gave birth to 3 Beautiful Puppies. #1-Chocolate and Tan Female, #2 Black and Tan Male, and #3 black and tan Female. they are all miniature Long Coated Dachshunds! Mother and children are doing perfect. They are sooooo cuuuute!

Wow, Momma says my "Papers" came today! I wondered if that was something to go potty on????? Momma said it tells all about my family and it has my "Official Name" on it. I am named "Morty's Foxie Moxie" (aka "Moxie the Doxie"). Everybody thinks it is a good name for me. I am growing and having more fun than ever. Morty and I play until we just wear ourselves out, then we eat and crash. Oh, by the way, he is back sleeping with us in the bed. Momma says his nose isn't so out of joint any more. He really loves me and thinks Momma is a "pretty good ol' gal", afterall. I am starting to let Mom and Dad know when I need to go out. I just whine a little and they know I need to go. Bye for now.

A trip to Dr. Maiers for my SHOT!!

Ouch! That really hurt. I had to go to Dr. Maiers today for my immunization and worming. They were very nice to me. First they weighted me, I am 3 lbs. 8 oz. I have gained 14 oz. since my first visit 2 1/2 weeks ago. Then Dr. listened to my heart and tickled my tummy. Then he put something up my bummy. That smarted a little. Then they gave me Goodies. Then they gave me a pill and my shot. It stung and I cried but only for a minute. Momma said I was very brave. We got to leave after that, but everyone thought I was very, very cute! I have to go back in 3 weeks, but this time Morty has to go too and have a Booster. He He He! Boy is he in for a surprise!

I am Famous! 2/10/05

Bow Wow! Momma says I am famous, because Dogster featured my diary on their home page. We are really happy! Thank You, Dogster! I am doing really well on my pottie training. I wake Momma up at about 3:00 a.m. with lots of licks and kisses to got out . Then we go right back to bed. Momma says "What a sweet and wonderful Puppy" to me. I think that is good, cause she gives me lots of hugs. She says I am cuddlie. I will be nine weeks old tomorrow. I have been to Dr. Meiers once already for a Check Up, but tomorrow I need to have an immunization. What is that???? Momma says don't be scared, it is for my own good. Hummmm.......... Morty and I are becoming the best friend. He didn't want to sleep in bed with us for about 2 weeks, but now he is back snuggling with us. Momma says he has had his nose "out of joint" because he is not the only Doxie in the house now! I met the cat Merry and she is so nice. She doesn't even mind me at all. Blu is a little jealous of me, so I have to be a little careful around him. He does not bite but he growls a little. I will win him over though. Thats all for now! Bow Wow!

February 7, 2005 Moxie Goes Potty!

Hi everyone! I am Moxie the Doxie! I am a 2 month old Black and Tan Long Coated Mini Dachshund. I arrived at my new home in Moses Lake, Wa on Jan. 22, 2005. I was a little scared at first but within 2 days I pretty much had my bearings , and now I am the Queen of the Roost. My family loves me very much, I have a wonderful older brother named Mortitmer, Morty, for short. (He He He, I think I just made a short joke) We play and play and play. I am learning a lot from him. I am getting potty trained right now. Momma says I am doing pretty good. I scratched at the door today to go out. She said " Gooood Puppy, Goooood Puppy" to me! That must mean I did something right. I love to sleep in bed with my Momma. I sleep under the down comforter and it is warm and cozy. I don't like to be cold. Momma takes me and Morty to work with her . I like to go in the car. We have heated seats in the car and it is soooo toasty warm. I am really starting to learn so many new and fun things. We can't wait for Spring so we can spend more time outside. Morty says we have 5 acres and it is a Dachshunds Paradise. We can dig for Voles in the pasture and run our short little legs off. Boy, I can't wait.
