Arrival Story: One beautiful morning in heaven, my Beloved Scottie, Ernie George, was riding his custom-motorized scooter through the line at the Rainbow Bridge's never-ending breakfast buffet. He'd been there for just over a week, and he knew that despite the tremendous honor of receiving his lifetime achievement award and going to the "most wonderful place," he could not be happy when his Mama was so sad. He knew his sister Izzy had some health issues, and he knew his Mama had some health issues, and he said, my family needs some happiness and joy. "What to do?" he thought, as he perused the endless options of breakfast foods, his beloved eggies, waffles, hashbrowns, and then he saw BACON! And like a lightning bolt, a brilliant idea was born. The next day I saw this posting on Petfinder from Hearts United for Animals in Auburn, Nebraska, for a wonderful boy named BACON.
"Bacon, sweet young gentleman that he is, has asked us politely to please put his pictures on the web for all to see. He loves being at the shelter but he had a home once and would like very much to get back to that particular standard of living. He has also asked that we find him a house with a nice, fenced-in backyard where he can chase squirrels and explore good smells. His last home was an apartment and Bacon really just would like more room. He wants you to know that he is a very good, very smart boy. He makes it his business to adore all creatures great and small. He is a fabulous kisser, a great listener (how could you not be with those lovely ears?) and enjoys snuggling after walks in the park. We told Bacon that of course, we'd let everyone know what a catch he is. So, there you have it."
On 9/23/10 we drove over 900 miles roundtrip in the torrential rain (over 10+ inches and major flooding) to bring Bacon to his forever home. He is truly heaven sent.
The fambly of Chauncey, Shula & Alabaster got some snow last night. But they live wayyyyyy up north in the arktical tundra of Minnesnowday.
It were only 30 degrees in the Mound this morning. That is snow-making weather. But it's too early still, Mama says.
Bacon will send his wish to the Barkday Santa Fairy. Pawlease send me some snow, Barkday Santa Fairy. The sooper dooper fluffy stuff, that I can berries my head in and roll around in and do sooper fast zoomies in.
My furriendses, Bacon wants to give a shout out to all the doggies at Hearts United for Animals in Nebraska, on this, the NUMBER THREE Annifurfsary of the day Mama & Papa bringed me home.

Evfurry single night I sleep in a nice warm beddy-bye with my peepoles after a riggerusss and rousering round of rassling and ruff-housing.
My belly are full like a little round basketball.

So hang on, doggies...your time will come.
Mama can't beleef 3 years has gone by so fast. She says, I'm getting to be a big boy now, espeshully compared to Doug, who's been staying with us. He's only one year old, and we furgot what the pubby energy is like. But no matter what, Mama says I will always be her baby boy.
