Arrival Story:
Come see what me and my sister Yoshii are up to on the Usual Shibas Blog: http://usualshibas.blogspot.com/ Kara's Story: We wanted a dog that didn't smell and wasn't needy and those were some of the positive traits of the Shiba Inu.:) I went to get her at a store that ultimately turned out to be a puppy mill (didn't know better at the time). Kara had two other siblings and the reason I picked her was because she was the quietest out of the bunch and just kinda stayed with me as I petted her. Her siblings were off and running and didn't pay any attention to me. So an easy choice was made! Since she came from the puppy mill breeder, she doesn't exactly have the great physical qualities of a show dog but what she lacks in that dept, she more than makes up for it in the smarts dept!!!

Bio:
Survivor of bladder stone surgery. When she had the surgery, the docs took out a at least 12 stones, most of which were the size of large pebbles!! I don't know how she lived with that for a year but she's a fighter! Over the years she also developed this innate sense of how we feel. If we argue too much, she'll come by and try to place herself between us to stop. Or if there is a lot of yelling due to our favorite sports team not doing well in a game, she'll come by to see if everything is alright with us:) When we raise our voices, she'll slowly turn around to look at us as if to say, "Do you mind?"
