Arrival Story:
Growing up I begged my parents for a dog for years. I was living in Dallas Texas, where I grew up and about 13 years old when they finally agreed and said I could. I went to our local animal shelter for a few months looking for "the one". Then one day after riding my bike and walking to the shelter during the winter I found my angel. The moment we saw each other it was true love. It was sorta like those moments in movies where you see a light shining down and the "Ahhhhhhhhhh" singing. When I opened the cage she climbed in my lap and I knew she was the one. It also helped that she was the cutest thing I had ever seen in my whole life!!!!!!!! I called my parents and they came and got me and my Timber. We went to the store that day and went shopping for some puppy stuff. It was one of the happiest days in my life!!!

Timber was my dream dog!!!!!!!! She was a about 9 week old pup when I found her. They had told me at the shelter she was part chow and part lab, but I found out recently from my own instense research that she was part Akita. Maybe she was alittle part chow too but I'm not sure. She had all the traits of a akita and looked like one as she got older. She was a truly incredible girl, she was my dream dog and had every trait I could of ever wanted in a canine companion. She was so loving, loyal and protective and had a great sense of humor. She loved to talk like chewbacca and carry around her toys. She had been having heart problems for the past year and passed away at the age of about 13 1/2 years old on April 29th 2009. She passed away unexpectedly after we had just been out in the yard. I miss her terribly and think about her everyday. I will forever love her and I hope she knew how much she meant to me and will always. I cherish the memories we shared.
