Arrival Story: Update July 12 - The radio station has finally agreed to release their call log to the police. They expect it by mid-week so the investigation will begin and they can find me. I will let you all know if anything significant happens. Thanks everyone for the gifts and the good thoughts.
Listen to the video below for an account by the guy who stole me. They think it is funny. I want to go home. If you see me, please, please tell my family.
Bio: Thief brags on radio about stealing our dog, Ricochet.
Last week on Friday June 25, several radio stations in the DC area aired a broadcast (the Kane Show) about unusual things people had "stolen" at parties. A young man refering to himself as "Danny" called in and stated that he had recently stolen a small dog named Ricochet from a party location in Northern VA. He boasted that, even though he had seen the many missing dog posters, Ricochet was now his. The radio DJs found that excessively amusing and laughingly stated that they would party over the weekend to celebrate because he was "THE MAN". All of the people on the air thought this was hilarious and witty. My family has been conducting an exhaustive search for Ricochet (Ricky) for these past 4 weeks. One of my daughters has not slept through a single night since his disappearance. We are devastated. We have filed police reports and contacted the radio station. The radio station broadcast a call for Ricky's return on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2010. He was asked to take Ricochet to any nearby shelter. So far, no news.
