Stuff I have stolen

I'm kind of proud of all the people toys I have stolen/eaten.
Think I'm going to keep a list:
1 plastic measuring spoon and 1 plastic measuring cup (Early December? not found by humans)
3 christmas ornaments - two were made by Laura when she was in nursery school.
1 of Laura's bras (found in back yard)
Countless Bic pens
Countless socks
Countless sticks
I ate the blue Platypus's tail (that was a DOG toy)
1 of Barbara's bras - they saw me as I trotted out the dog door with it.
Record: Chewed off and ate the chipmunk tail in the car on the way home from Petco
Plastic bottle with Fish water de-chlorinator (2 actually, one I ate and one I stole - but they caught me before I actually finished with it)
The OOAK fish tank jellyfish ornament (I ate it :-P )
The algae scraper for the fish tank (Did I mention they pay too much attention to the fish?)
2 balls of yarn (so far - It was a great day for me when Ms. M learned to crochet!)
Laura's Green shoes (That doesn't count! It was before I knew better, I've only had one measly flip-flop since then.)
1 8.5 x11 homework - math variety
I green ceramic frog (they caught me before I finished ;-{ )
Jeff's glasses (NOT compeletly destroyed)
2 pair of sewing scissors (chewed those plastic handles right off!)

Day 67

Today has been, well....interesting. After I licked the stick of butter that was sitting on the coffee table for the 3RD time, and chewed up Mom's headphones, my humans decided it was time I got some structure and discipline in my life. Mom found this really great website: http://www.diamondsintheruff.com/ and read about a thing called the waist leash technique. Basically, the human ties their dog to their waist and goes about their day, thus keeping a close eye (just a leash length away) on their dog, and also establishing leadership and such.

So, this morning Laura got out my leash and her belt and tried it out. I've actually had fun following her around. She took me out in the rain (it's been raining non-stop since yesterday) and let me play with my toys while she was at the computer. I wished we could have gone on a longer walk, but the rain was pretty bad and now Laura is wet due to an umbrella malfunction so she won't take me out again until it stops. She's been trying to teach me to stay when she opens the door, but i just love the outside so much that I just want to charge through it. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to keep at it.

ps. I'd like to thank Dogster for giving me diary pick of the day not too recently! I was honored to receive such wonderful notice :)

Day 51

My humans were gone almost all day today. I mean, what's up with that? This is summer we're talking about! I used to think that people were supposed to spend summer days at home w/ their dogs! But I know better now. That is a complete misconception.
You see, the thing about humans is that they have to spend all their time DOING something. If they have a day off, they spend it running errands. Even when they go on vacation they feel the need to plan an entire itinerary so that they will be doing something "fun" every second of every day. Summer is no different. Because most grown-ups have to work, they put their kids into summer camps, constantly taking up their time with "fun," "educational" activities. Not that some of that can't be good, of course. I mean, i wouldn't be ranting like this if DOGS were actually ALLOWED in summer camp! But no. Not us. We have to wait at home patiently for our humans to come back from all of their summer activities. And when our humans finally do come home, they tell us how lucky we are that we don't have to do anything. Yeah. Right.
I guess what I'm getting at here is: Take a break and play with your dog!!! bol :) Anyway, laura's finally here before she goes to driver ed so I think i'll go spend some time w/ her. Bye!
