Alfie's Diary

Scariest Day of my Life

Last Sunday, February 13th, I got the biggest scare of my life. I also saw it through Mommy Loi and Deda's eyes! I thought it was the end of me. It happened too fast and so unexpectedly. At around 1:00 in the afternoon, Deda took me out of my cage to bathe me. She did the usual, and used warm water. Then, while she was blow-drying me, I suddenly turned pale and lost control...I couldn't stand...couldn't bark...couldn't cry for help. They said I was already biting my paled tongue, which is a bad sign! I almost gave up! Next thing I knew, I was brought up to Mommy Loi's room with Deda being panicky! I think she turned pale, too! Hahaha! Mommy Loi was calm but I could see she was sooo worried, too. She wanted to rush me to my vet but it was Sunday, meaning it was closed. They did all they can do to bring me back to my normal state. They forced sugar on my mouth, with the thought that I might be poisoned or something. They shouted my name all throughout, and continued blow-drying me...

After almost half an hour, I started to feel better. My tongue started to turn to its usual pink color. I could finally stand. They let me stay inside the house and fed me. Three hours after, Mommy Loi brought me upstairs and played with me. Joy was there too. This time, I felt really good and back to my normal self!

I finally got their attention! Woof!
