On May 16th, I noticed Caddy`s ears were a bit dirty,and she was itching at them. I gave her a bath,cleaned up her ears,and even gave her some ear drops for mites just to be safe. The rest of the day Caddy was fine and she no longer scratched her ears. The next say after Caddy had her breakfast I took a look at her ears and they were even dirtier then before and seems to be agitated by them. I decided to swap peroxide in her ears with a cotton ball and gave her the drops again,and once more twards the afternoon. I figured after about two-three days of doing this everything would be back to normal.

Sunday, after Caddy`s breakfast I took a look at her ears and was just horrified! Her ears were even worse,and I made extra sure to clean everything Saturday night. Now only were her ears dirty now,but they had begun to scab and bleed from where she had scratched them overnight. I wasn`t even able to clean her ears because it hurt her. I knew something was wrong,so my mother and I scheduled an appointment for her Monday morning.

Turns out that Caddy had an extremely bad ear infection. From what,we never found out. But it was so bad that Caddy had to be put to sleep and have her ears scraped and cleaned. We were given quite a bit of medicine for her as well.

Thankfully, 7 days later Caddy`s ears are spotless,she dosen`t scratch anymore and shes happy as ever =]
