I was told today that I have a new nickname to go with my many other names. TAR.....Really, you gotta be kidding me? What kind of name is that??????
Gram said,'it's short, like me, for Toast And Roast!' You see, Way Up North Here...we've been getting a BIG Taste of Extreme Heat compounded with High Humidity. I think my old people are about to Bite the Dust...Trying to get their work done. Me, However; I don't know what the Big Deal is All about????
Yep, It's HOT OUT! You, see I love the Heat! So, bring it on baby!!!! When Grandma goes out, I throw myself on the ground, stretch out and start working on my tan. What comes after Black? I'm already the color of TAR! However a gal, has gotta look her best!
Gram, breaks into an instant sweat. The water just pours off of her. Looks like I turned the water hose on her.... Or maybe like a gyser going off in Yellowstone? Whew! It's NOT a pretty site....
Thanks to our good furpal, Willie....she hasn't collasped yet. A cooling wrap tied around her neck, she was able to push through some painting and lawn mowing. Watering everything at night is a major, must do. Today she tied one on my Grandpa. He was in the open field without a cloud in the sky and no shade. Trying to repair his swather. Today is about the 4th. day of the different weather. Has been the toughest day for my people to get their work done, too. It's about 95 and 85-90% humidity.
These Prairie People are big Wussies when it comes to Humidity!
Me...I'm a loving it! The house is about 72 and little chilly for me. Especially when they run those huge ceiling fans all day long. You can find me under a blankie all snuggled in. Thank goodness, they don't run the central air until bedtime. I just hate Cold air! They wonder, why I crawl in the covers at night and snuggle so tightly up against one of them???? It feels like a meatz locker in here!
Now, I will answer to: Amazing Grace, my given name. Mazy, Cupcake,Shortcake,Trouble,Mischief and Stinkweed. I Refuse to answer to the name TAR...Sounds like a guy's name to me!
I been supervising again: the painting, mowing, weeding, watering, cleaning patio furniture. Snuggling into hot laundry. Trying to sample whatever is being cooked. (for some reason, I'm not consulted often in that department?) I helped Grandpa change his pick-up oil. (that was Fun!) We were both in the dogz house, when I got oil on me,too! I've been the scout and look-out when we go to pasture. We drive around to find the bottle calf and feed her. I just LOVE to ride!!!!!
My little people's are coming again tomorrow. This time they are bringing their Momma with to stay. We are suppose to take them perch fishin'. Gram says, she won't go, if it doesn't cool down a little. We have to make a big picnic for supper tomorrow night. I sure hope Gram is having a fumble day and dropping lots of stuff! It's my job, to snatch it and swallow....
It's time to water some vegetables and flowers. Then we will be off to light the gas grill. Hoping to get back here tonight and catch up with all my furpals. BTW- Nutty, your the greatest! Thanks for the camping picture....Just love it!
Hugs and Kisses to ALL my furpals,
You are ALL just Awesome!
Mazy
