"How i was rescued by my new family"

On day while running through a yard i see a lady taking care of her dogs so i go running up to her. Oh how she made over me & told me how cute i was with my long ears and beautiful markings. She could tell right away that i was a black & tan coonhound! Well as the day went on i sat outside her door crying & howling for i was lost. She felt sorry for me and told her sister about me. Her name was Tammy and she had a son named Ryan. They came over and fell in love with me so i came to stay with them and their large family of pets. That is how i became known as Rufus. Before "mom" (tammy) would let me near my new brothers & sisters she had to get rid of my ringworm, fleas,give me vaccines and also deworm me; "YUCK"! Mom & dad say i am stubborn...I say i'm just misunderstood! Anyway to make this short, i am loved more than i could have imagined along with my brothers; Alex-10, Bear-1, Melon-15, and my late brother Damien-9 "doodles"(R.I.P -12/1/2009). And my sisters; Cheyenne-14,Maruschka-1,Nina-5 & Lexi-6 most of which were also rescued from the streets around the neighborhood. Mom doesn't believe in breeding when there are so many unwanted animals in the world so she and dad decided to have all of us fixed (neutered/spayed) and we are all housebroken & spoiled. We live on 30 acres along with 3 horses,2 goats,3 bunnies,12 ducks,2 cats,& a number of chickens.
