Dear Friends in dogland!
I wanted to tell you a little about my surgery because it was so significant... you see, I love chasing squirrels (who doesn't, right??) and my vet thinks
that I must've been asleep and jolted up because I heard a noise (probably those pesky sq's).
and I totally blew my ACL! Yep, now they told me I had to have surgery! I was very scared but
my momm and dadd are real supportive and caring so I knew it would be okay.

So, on July 10th, 2003....
I had surgery done at Alameda East (you know, the one on Animal Planet!). My surgeon was
the best!! He was so gentle to both me and my parents. He is so kind. After surgery came
physical therapy. I had the best therapist ever- Caroline but we call her Carrie. She put me
thru a really cool hydratherapy session for a number of weeks. It was great- momm would drop
me off for the whole day. I felt like I was going to a spa. I really looked forward to seeing Carrie!
She was super nice to me and I really like her a lot.

Well, it took me quite awhile to heal but I am 100% better now- well, geez it's been almost
2yrs so one would think it's about time to be healed up! LOL! I have an "L" shaped piece of
metal in my leg with 6 titanium screws. I get sore sometimes so momm and dadd rub my leg
and sometimes put warm towels on it. I feel much better after their human touch! :) I am
taking glucosamine to help build up my joints. It is yummy all pnut buttered up! mmmm!

Okay, that is my traumatic story that I wanted to share with my pals. Have a great day--
Many Barks and Paws,
Spyder
