Oh no she didn't!

Okay so it has been raining for the last couple of days and I am not a huge fan of the rain, I will openly admit to that. On top of being wet it is cold so that is a big no go for me and Mommy knows that. Yet she keeps making me go outside and will not let me in until she sees me do my business.

Now here are some reasons why that isn't okay for me. Reason number one is I am a nervous pooper and Mommy knows that. I will not go number two if someone is watching me. Just like I will not go number two if I do not know the yard. I only go number two in three places right now in the yard and they are all wet and muddy. I do not like the mud on my poor feet. Reason number two it is raining! Nuff said on that one. Reason number three it is cold. I do not like the cold. I do not have a thick fur coat like Missy does.

So Mommy knows all of this and has decided to pick on me some more. She pulled out my hoodie and jacket. I get that I don't like the rain and the cold but, the terriers make fun of me when I am wearing the hoodie and jacket. Missy even chuckles about it.

Now I know everyone is thinking "Well Monty you do have to go potty you know." I am aware of that and I know I cannot go on the floor in the house but, I do know how to mimic the cats and go in their giant litter box. Why can't Mommy let me just do that instead of going outside in the cold rain? Why must she keep putting me in my waterproof jacket and stare at me until I go outside? If I really have to go I can use the box or I can wait out the cold and the rain. Not like Mommy is a weatherman she is just my Mommy. I refuse to think she is right about it raining all next week too.

I was JUST like you! I didn't like been stared at while pooping & I hated getting my paws wet or dirty! Must be a pei thing.

Oh I am glad it isn't just me cause Missy has no shame and neither do the Terriers at Grandma's house. Daddy teases me about it because his original pei didn't have that issue. I was starting to feel alone.

Maybe it's a purple tongued thing. I don't like being wet or muddy paws either. I am way to dignified for that.

I'll potty #2 on the patio if its raining. I hate to get my paws wet too. Doo on the other hand likes to tromp in the mud! Makes mom SO angry when she drags it in the house!

Thanks Guys. I was surprised that I got diary of the day. Mommy gave me an extra treat and so did the weatherman. BOL! It hasn't rained in a few days so that means Mommy was wrong.

Austin Missy brings in mud just like Doo does too. Mommy has to towel dry her every time she comes in muddy and wet.

To cut down on some of the mud being brought in, mom will wash Doo's feet in a bowl of water outside and then dry them. Sure has helped. Doo's not real happy, but mom is...and you know what they say..."when mama's happy, everybody's happy". :o)

Depending on how muddy Missy is Mom will do different things. For example if she tries to come in covered in mud Mom will hose her off outside on the patio an then take her in. If she isn't very muddy at all Mom let's her dry then brushes the dirt out of her hair. If her feet are really muddy Mom puts her feet in a plastic bag with water cause Missy won't put her feet in a bowl.

Dad calls Missy weird, he also says pets take after their owners so that must mean Mom is weird too.
