Well, evfur since Murphy went home the weather has cooled off and it has been wonderfur! I am outside a lot, and enjoying it so much. I think he took the heat and humidity with him, and I hope that it takes a long time to find its way back here...
Those gardening Mommas-- I tell ya, I get plum worn out watchin' mine weedin' and a diggin'!!!!!! I agree with barking hot air balloons. We had one fly low over our backyard and I barked it good. Ok, I was doing my barking while hiding, but still, it was high-quality barking. Mama is the same as your Growlmy. She weeds her heart out during the weekends. I just get tired of watching her. I never seen a hot air balloon, but I'll take your word that the are evil. I luv it when the peoples do yard work and weedin'! Then I have a full day of fetchin' with lotsa throwers at my beck and call! Careful of those mowers! They'er EVIL! My human uncle ran over his foot last year and lost his big toe. He had ta relearn ta walk an stuff!!! An I sure hope that the clean up goes well. Sounds like haved a hurricane! Daddy says that the gulf is heating up at an unseasonably warm rate... He says we're askin' fur a big hurricane this year an' we need to have a 'E-vac-u-a-cation plan... Er somethin' like that. We dinnit gets da tomatoes ofur here (by Detroit), like you gots. Sound like a big mess. Is good to hear fings is gettin back to "normal" wif da clean ups an stuff. I dinnit like da really HOT days-is too hot to play an I gotsta play alla times. Is mush better now. I don't think that growlmy will be doing much work back there, today...it is fixing to be too hot and humid once again...so there will be a whole new crop when she gets back there...it just nevfur ends. Some unfur told her to spray the whole thing and be done once and for all, but she would have to keep me out of there for a while...I would have to have me doggy doors shut, and go back to the tie out for a few days...OMD! No way! BOL! You are so funny pal! Those weeds are nasty no matter where you are! Here in the desert they are bad a prickly!! Dad just had to get rid of em cause they was hurtin my feetsies! About the chemical weed killer, lotsa them say safe for dogs on the bottle, tell your Growlmy to look for that!! If our Mommy's would just let us dig in the yard we could get rid of all them weeds furever! This year my Mommy finally gave up the battle and got a lawn service to kill them. They thought Mommy was crazy because they said I could go on the lawn as soon as it dried but Mommy said she didn't care, they had to do the front yard one week & the back the next so my paws never touched them weed killing chemicals. Do you think they have a squirrel killing chemical? If they do I wished they would use it! I think since our yard is one continuous lot, I would have to have a service co do this chemical stuff when I was gone away for a few days, because no matter what hem folks tell us about the 'safety' I don't trust it at all...and being a 'senior' I think I could handle it a lot less well. than perhaps a younger pup. Hey maybe they give senior discounts?! BOL! Hiya Jack! Took me a while to get here, but here I is! My Mummy goes nuts out in the garden too! She is fanatical about pulling up dem weedies, bol! Me, I just like to supervise and potter around with her when it's a lovely sunny day like today. Hope you're having a pawtastic summer so far! xoxoxo |
