Prayers for a Friend

Hi pups. Momma got some sad news today. Her friend, Miss Katie, her pup growing up, well...she had to go to the Bridge today. Miss Katie is real sad, which makes Momma super sad. Miss Katie has been a really good friend to Momma, especially when Grammy was sick with the cancer. She had a lot of masses said for Grammy at church, and Momma says she can never repay her for the kindness she showed her when she was so scared. Can you all say a prayer for Miss Katie and her pup, Emma? Thanks pals.

It's all about ME ME ME!!!

1. WHAT COLOR COLLAR ARE YOU WEARING?

Right now I'm wearing my black collar with silver studs on it, cause Momma says I'm a stud. I have to save the collar Zaidie and Mrs. Zaidie sent me for special occasions, cause Momma says I mess up a lot of collars and she doesn't want it ruined. Hmph.

2. DOES YOUR LEASH MATCH YOUR COLLAR?

No, I have a red leash and a green leash.

3. WHAT’S WORSE? An EVIL NEMESIS SQUIRREL bouncing around in the trees or across the fence, a Crow strutting around in your yard or Neighbor People outside talking?

EVIL SQUIRRELS! But people walking around the neighborhood are good to bark at, too!

I used to love love love cheese. No more. :( *sniff*

5. WHERE WAS YOUR LAST CAR RIDE?

To the vet! YUCK!

Heck yeah!!! That's the best! Smell all those smells!!!!

Hm...I really like to snuggle with my Aflac duck. And my Meeko. And my talking Ho Ho, but Momma says talking Ho Ho is about to go out the door cause his battery is dying and he sounds like something from a scary movie.

I DO have a Valentine this year!! *blushes* Me and Ebby are gonna eat some moo-beast and drink some venison-beast hooch...

I'm happy just walking around the neighborhood. There's lots of other pups that live around here, so there's always good smells and lots of pals to say hi to!

10. DO YOU GO TO DOG PARKS?

No. I went once and Momma was freaked out by how many people tried to pick me up and touch me. Now that I have a super special diet, she says no way...

11. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?

Right smack dab between Momma and Daddy in my bed. MY bed. :)

12. DO YOU SNORE?

Momma says I do. Daddy says I do. I guess I do!

13. DO YOU SLEEP UNDER THE COVERS?

Sometimes if it's very very cold I get under the blankets and spoon with Momma. That way we keep each other warm!

14. DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR CLOTHES?

Yes, but I like my blue sweater! I do, I do!

15. ARE YOU THE FAVORITE DOG?

I'm the ONLY dog in the world to my Momma!!!

16. WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE SPOT TO SLEEP IN THE HOUSE?
Other than MY bed, I like to sleep in Daddy's recliner or on my loveseat looking out into the street.

I do!!! Their names are Miss Karen and Miss Joyce and I LOOOOOVE them! And they love me!

Secret Admirer Strikes Again

I got another anonymous rosette from a secret admirer, pups...hmmm....

Ebby? Is it from you? Or Ceeley? The pup sending them sounds like one of you girls! Is it you ladies???

Feeling Groovy!

I feel totally fine today, pups! And Momma feels better, too! She thinks we needed some serious sleep, so that's what we did! We slept and slept and slept til we couldn't sleep no more! I'm eating small meals of chicken and rice (CHICKEN AND RICE!!) with a small splash of the venison-beast hooch that Ebby and Ceeley made for me (but Momma doesn't know about that part, so SHHHHHHHH!). I'm being a bit naughty taking my pills though. Momma was making some swears earlier cause I kept spitting it out no matter what she did, and finally Daddy came down and gave it to me. I told her that's what she gets for singing that stupid "Sally the Camel" song with my name in it. It goes like this.

I think it's a song from a show about a purple dinosaur. Momma says it's a stupid show, but some of the younger humans like it, so she's seen it a bunch of times. Whatever, Momma, I'm not a camel any more!!! Sheesh!!

I'll Be OK!

I'm OK, pups. The vet thinks I ate something nasty, probably bunny pooh, and that's why my tummy is so upset. She gave me a big old shot that turned me into a camel!

(Note from Momma: He got a subcutaneous shot of fluids, anti-nausea medicine, and antacid. It literally gave him a "camel hump", but it's mostly absorbed now.)

And Momma warned the tech girl that I do NOT like things shoved up my heinie, and that I bit Daddy last time someone did that, so she got a thing that beeped in my ear instead. Momma was super happy about that cause Daddy wasn't there to hold me down.

The vet lady said if I had dia-rears that Momma would have to come back and get some medicine for me. All my poohs were normal up until that point. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we came home, I got the dia-rears. Momma said if her head didn't hurt so bad she'd probably cry. Instead she just sort of sighed and said "Ok..." She's waiting for the doctor to call back to say the medicines are ready. Momma says her head hurts too bad, she'll just have Daddy go get them when he leaves work.

I'm not allowed any food or water for 12 hours, and then I get little bits of chicken and rice! HOORAY for chicken and rice!!

Ok, Momma says we have to go rest now before her eyeballs explode. Thanks, pups, for all the POP and rosettes you all sent me. We sure love you guys and gals!

I Have to Go WHERE?

Momma just got off the phone with the vet, pups. She's taking me at 11 in the AM cause I'm still puking and she's starting to get worried. I'm still drinking lots of water, and I'm still acting normal, but every time I eat something I puke it up a few hours later. Momma didn't feed me anything after 4 in the PM yesterday, but I still threw up bile a couple times last night. She thought maybe I was super hungry, so she gave me a spoonful of rice at 1:30 in the AM, but I threw that up an hour later, and then threw up again at 5:30 in the AM. Everyone is super tired now, but Momma's still taking me to the vet. Better safe than sorry, she said. Can you say some POP for me? She's a little anxious, and Daddy can't go with her cause he went to work.

Nobody better be sticking things up my butt...

Me and Momma are BOTH sick, pups. I got the urka gurkas and so does she. Daddy had the urka gurkas at the beginning of the week. It's been kind of a yucky week here. Anyone mind saying some POP for us so we all get better? This is the pits...

*blushes*

Pups, I just got an anonymous pair of lips from a secret admirer!!! I didn't know what that meant, so I asked Momma, and SHE says that means someone likes me secretly! *blushes* Aw shucks...whoever you are, you made this little grey schnauzer blush!!

I Look So Handsome!

Guess what, pups?! I got a package in the mail today, and it was from my friend, Zaidie!! Guess what he sent me?! A new collar! It says "I will not chase squirrels", but Z-pup says it's not legally binding, which Momma says means I don't gotta listen to it. She also says it makes me look even more handsomer than I already am.

Momma put the collar on me and I got to try it out in the front yard. And guess what? While I was wearing it a BUNNY hopped down the street!!! That collar doesn't say ANYTHING about chasing bunnies!!! So I BARKED BARKED BARKED that bunny away!

Momma says bunnies shouldn't even be out yet. She says they're confused by our weird winter. There's birdies hanging out on our front porch, too. She even saw some flowers popping up in the yard at school! She says everything's all messed up cause it's weirdly warm, even though February is usually super snowy! I miss the snow. We barely had any yet. She says that can change real fast, though, so I shouldn't give up hope. SHE'S even hoping for some, cause her and Daddy haven't even had a 2 hour delay yet for school, let alone a snow day!!

But I'M the Cutest!!!

Momma's watching something called The Puppy Bowl, pups. You should hear her. She's squealing and giggling. She usually only does that when she's on this Dogster place. Or when she's looking at me.

I don't see what's so special about these puppies. Sure, they're fluffy. Yeah, they run around a lot and tackle each other. And ok, they don't SEEM like they bark a lot. And maybe, just maybe, it's adorable when they show the puppy cam.

But I'm still way WAY cuter. Hmph.
