A Mostly Normal Day!

Yesterday was much more calm, pups. Daddy drained the lawn mower so that there was no more gas in it to stink up the house. I got to go over to not-sick Grammy's house for a visit, too. Momma took me in the backyard, my most favoritest place in the world! Grammy's backyard is humongous, and there's all sorts of smells of animals that we don't get over at our house! I made sure to peeps all over the place so that all them animals know that this is MY yard!! And then Pap Pap came home while we were there, and we played our game! Pap Pap is deaf, which means he can't really hear so good. He wasn't born that way, he got deaf cause he was a stone mason for a gazillion years before he retired, and they weren't made to wear ear plugs like they gotta do now. So anyhow, even though he can't hear so good, he sure can hear my barks!! So I follow Pap Pap around the house and bark, and he goes "OH! You scared me!!" That's our game. It makes everyone giggle. Pap Pap says he doesn't like dogs in the house, but he doesn't mind me! He loves me!

Momma hasn't seen that big old bug since Saturday, but she makes sure to wear her Flip Flops of Doom into the kitchen, just in case. Momma uses her Flip Flops of Doom to beat up bugs. You hafta scream while you're doing it, too. I think that's where the Doom part comes in.

Not last night, but the night before, we had the WORST thunderstorms EVER while we were sleeping!!! OMD, you pups wouldn't believe how loud and scary it was!!! I wrapped my self around Momma's head and shook like crazy. Momma just sorta sighed. Then there was a HUGE boomie, and all the clocks and lights went out! Daddy got up to find a flashlight (which really confused Momma cause it was 4 in the AM and what did he need a flashlight for at 4 in the AM?) I decided to follow Daddy cause I was outta my head scared, and he didn't see me, and he shut the bedroom door on me! OUCH! I sorta froze, and Daddy had to pick me up and toss me back on the bed, where I wrapped myself around Momma's head again. I didn't get hurt, just scared. It was not a good night. Also, that was the night Momma left the stinky lawnmower outside. Boy was SHE MAD BOL! But the lawnmower works fine, thank goodness!

And it's starting to thunderstorm again, pups, so I gotta go sit under Daddy's feet! It's the safest place in the house!

Fizzy! This is toadally way too much excitement going on.
I hope things clam down for you and you get some much needed peaceful rest. That visit to the granpawrents sound like Fun!

You know, I was thinking 'bout that big ugly bug near the maters. Don't tell your Mom this, but I wonder if she Carried the bug in when she picked the maters? Like I said, don't tell her that. She would pass out.

We are having really bad boomers right now! I don't like them, not one little bit, and Mum isn't here to put my Thundershirt on. I have to go run under the bed in my Guy Cave.Bye.

Maybe she did, Zoe, but we seems to get a lot of them big bugs in the house when it rains, and it's been rainin a lot, so who knows. As long as she has her Flip Flop of Doom handy, she'll be fine.

Mommy has some Flip Flops of Doom, too! I agree that it's da scream that makes 'em Doom. BOL!! We had thunderboomers here all weekend and I had to wear my Thundershirt da whole time. Glad that's over!
