Poor Momma. She's been out of control busy lately and hasn't had time to help me with my diary, pups!
Momma had Monday off, which was AWESOME for me! I got super special snuggle time for an extra day! Then Momma decided to transplant some of her flower seedlings to bigger pots, and since it was nice outside, I got to hang out with her in the backyard for a little bit! Oh boy, all the furry woodland creatures are out and about! We saw squirrels and chipmunks and baby bunnies (which I wasn't allowed near...boo) and all different kinds of birds! Momma even heard a bullfrog but we dunno where it was! The neighbors behind us have a pond so it was probably coming from there! It was like National Geographic in my own backyard! But then it started to rain, and it didn't stop for 2 days! YUCK.
Momma took me over to sick Grammy's house today for a visit! But Pap Pap wasn't there, and I kept running around the house looking for him. I like my Pap Pap. He gives good ear rubs. But Grammy gives good love, too, and she even let me give her a few kisses! She normally doesn't like my kisses, but today she did! Momma giggles cause just a few months ago Grammy didn't even want me in her HOUSE, and now she's asking Momma to bring me over! It's because I'm so charming, I'm sure. :)
But then Momma got some very very sad news. There was a girl who used to work in Momma's classroom a few years ago. She quit and moved to North Carolina to be with her boyfriend, who was a Marine. They got married this past June, and Momma just found out that that nice Marine died in Afghanistan last week. He stepped on an IED. Momma was SO very sad, cause she liked this girl and was sad when she moved away. So if you don't mind saying a prayer for Miss Angela P and her family, we'd sure appreciate it. That Marine was only 28 years old.
Well, pups, it's bed time, which means super snuggle time, so good night!

Oh we are so sorry to hear about that Marine... too, too sad... wish all our servicemen and women could come home.
I knows what you mean about busy Mommas-- mine runs around like a chicken with her head cut off sometimes!!
That's sad about the marine. :(
oh jeez, such very sad news about Momma's friend and the marine :-(
Oh so sad about the Marine. Sending prayers for Miss Angela.
Sounds like your backyard is very exciting this time of year!
Fizzy, we were zippin' right along there til we got to da sad part. So, so sad. We are a military town/area, and we get so sad every time we learn of another soldier's death. Peace be with them.
We have a lot of deployments going out of the National Guard base, here, a Navy/Marine base (110-Wing, International Guard). (Fort Custer). Some of them we have met, or know their families.
And of course in our church we have some servicemen, too.
So sad to hear of this death.
It would be so great if they could all come home safely.
We have a lot to thank them for, that's for sure.
I know about that busy stuff, now, too...I have to cat-sit for about 9 hours evfurry day, now...BOL!
