WOW!

I'm a Diary Pick today, pups!! Thanks to everyone who sent me a gift! You pals are the best!

If you haven't seen, MJF left me a HUUUUUUGE tray of cheese in my last diary entry! I'm having a cheese party!! Come on over, pups! All you can eat cheese!!!

I've Been Dipped!!!

Momma is so clumsy, pups. You all know that. I've barked about it before. But listen to what she did to me tonight!!

Momma made something in the crockpot called French Dip Sammiches. It smelled like heaven in my house all day, pups! Anywoof, she put all kinds of stuff on top of the MEATZ, and it made a juice. Momma put some of that juice in a little bowl. She also made french fries to go with the sammiches. She was holding the little bowl of juice in her hand when she dropped a fry on the kitchen floor. Silly me, I had my back to it and didn't see it, even though I was standing right under Momma's feet!! She bent over to pick up the fry before I could eat it, and she spilled some of that MEATZ juice on my back!!!

It wasn't super hot, so it didn't hurt. The problem? Daddy's been chasing my all over the house shouting that he was gonna eat me cause I smell like MEATZ!!!!!!! I *THINK* he's teasing, but you never can tell with Daddy cause he does like to eat the MEATZ. HELP!!!

*sniff*

Momma and Daddy are very sad tonight, pups. Some teachers at their work had to be let go. I dunno where they're going, but Momma said they won't be working at their school no more. It seems like some stupid governor guy took away a lot of money from school in the Pennsylvania place where we live, and schools are hurting real bad for money. A lot of schools have already made their teachers go away, and Momma said they knew it was coming to their place, they just didn't know when. Oh man, pups, Momma was crying when she came home. Some of those teachers were her good friends.

Momma and Daddy gave each other a big hug. They were happy it wasn't them, but so sad for their friends. Momma said this will be bad for the little humans they work with, too.

It's just not fair, pups. And it's just not right.

What Is Going ON???

I had a weird day today, pups. Momma and Daddy got up real early this morning. Then, a truck I didn't know backed down into our driveway. BARK ALERT!! Then Momma and Daddy were outside for a looooong time, and there was ALL kinds of machine noise going on! I tried looking out the back window, but I couldn't see anything! Then, I heard footsteps on the basement stairs, and all of a sudden, my Auntie Cole was standing in the kitchen!! What the woof?!?! Where did YOU come from?? BARK ALERT! LOVE ALERT!!

Auntie Cole disappeared for a while, then suddenly, she was BACK, with her boyfriend, Adam! Adam gives real good ear rubs. Everyone was all sweaty and covered in dirt. They sat down and ate hamburgers (MEATZ!!!) and no one shared with me. Hmph. Momma kept talking about her garden and something about beds. Now I know Momma loves to garden and all, but I hope she didn't move our bed outside!! *runs upstairs to check* OK, it's still there. WHEW!

Auntie Cole and Adam left, and Momma went outside for a super long time. When she came back in she was COVERED in dirt! She smelled good to me, but she went in the shower and washed it all off!! She talked about onions and strawberries all night. And green beans. I dunno what she was doing out there, pups, but it sounds like she made a salad? I dunno.

Now she's talking about a pile of dirt being dumped in our driveway on Friday. I hope I get to roll in it!!!

I'm STARVING Over Here!!

Momma AND Daddy didn't give me any lunch today, pups!!! Oh woe is me!! I'm so hungry and they FORGOT TO FEED ME!!

See, Daddy didn't go to work today. Daddy has to go to a special doctor tomorrow for his allergies, and he hasn't been allowed to take any of his medicine for 3 whole days beforehand so they give him some tests. Well, Daddy takes 4 different things for his allergies cause they're so bad, so as you can probably imagine, he's feeling pretty poopy. He didn't sleep at all last night, so he stayed home. He gave me my breakfast at normal time. He decided to go to the grocery store right at the time I normally get my lunch.

Except he didn't give me lunch.

And he didn't tell Momma that he didn't give me lunch.

So when Momma got home SHE didn't give me lunch, either!!

About 2 hours later, Momma's like "Why is Fizzy so WHINY today?!" Daddy said he didn't know. A lightbulb went off in Momma's head. "Daddy, did you feed Fizzy lunch?" "No," Daddy said. "Did you?"

"NO!" Momma shouted. "OH FIZZY!! I'm so so SORRY!!"

And she ran and got me my food.

I stopped whining after that. It was almost 12 whole hours or years since I had last eaten, so of COURSE I was whiny! I was HUNGRY!

Quick, pups, I need to have a secret stash of food somewhere in case they forget to feed me dinner!! Send me some cheese and MEATZ please!!! I'm starving over here!!!

Boooooooooo.

It didn't snow here, pups. Momma is happy, but I'm not, cause all it's done is rain instead. I hate rain.

YAY!

Momma just told me some good news, pups! It's supposed to snow tonight! A LOT of snow! HOORAY! We barely had ANY snow this year! And just on Friday it was 80* F outside! Momma had on her Flip Flops of Doom (TM) and Daddy was wearing shorts and we had the AC on in the house! Now today Momma is all bundled up in sweaters and sweatpants and the furnace is back on cause it's COLD! It's perfect schnauzer snuggling weather if you ask me!

Momma doesn't think the snow is good news (she's worried about power outages and stuff, cause all the trees have leaves on them now), but I'm excited! I LOVE SNOW!

Holy cow! I got so many presents and well wishes today, pups! Thank you all SO MUCH!! What a great bunch of pals I have!!

I'm celebrating my 8th birthday by going outside. Then coming back in. Then going back out. Then coming back in. BOL! Poor Momma!!

Momma!! Daddy!! That's MINE!

Momma and Daddy are being mean to me, pups. When Momma came home, she let me outside. She was standing in the door, watching me root around in the yard. Sometimes I like to search for bunny pooh, and she stops me from eating it. Boo.

Anyway, there I am, rooting my snooter in the grass, and when I picked my head up, I had something pink and meat-like in my mouth. Those are Momma's words, not mine. Anyhow, she started SCREAMING and came running out of the house without her shoes on!! She scared me so much that I dropped my prize! She picked me up and threw me back in the house! She went to inspect what I had, and it turns out it was a teeny tiny baby bird. It didn't even have feathers yet, pups. It wasn't even as long as Momma's thumb. So, you know, it was the perfect snack size.

Momma made Daddy come and scoop up the baby bird and he threw it away! NO! That was MY baby bird!! I wasn't gonna eat him! Honest! I wanted to keep him as a pet!!

Hmph. So Momma let me out again, and guess what? I found ANOTHER baby bird!! Momma did the same thing (screaming, throwing, scooping...), then her and Daddy walked around the yard looking for more. Sure enough, they found yet ANOTHER dead baby bird!! AND THEY THREW IT AWAY!!!!

*sigh* We have a nest on our side porch, and we have a lot of stray cats wandering around. Momma thinks the birds fell out of the nest and a kitty was trying to eat them.

I SWEAR, I was only gonna play with them. And pet them. And call them George. But Momma and Daddy said no. *sniff* I'm horribly mistreated over here, pups!!!!

I'm a Diary Pick today, pups! Thank you Dogster HQ! And thanks to all the pups who sent me rosettes! And the eggs!! SO MANY EGGS! BOL thanks, pal!

I hope every pup had a nice Easter. I didn't get to go visiting :( Momma and Daddy went to Auntie Cole's house first, and there were so many peeps there (plus her German Shepard, Lycan) that I couldn't go. Then Momma and Daddy went to Grammy's house, but I couldn't go there either cause they had folks visiting from Alaska, and Grammy's pup, Thumper, gets real aggressive with the little boy who comes, so they had to keep him shut up in the bedroom!! Grammy thought it'd be too mean to Thumper to have me running around the house while he was in doggie jail, so I had to stay home all by myself. *sniff*

But I'm leaving to go to Grammy's house in a little bit cause Daddy's going to go get some leftovers! So I'll get a little bit of visiting in afterall!
