Likes:
Socks. Underwear. (Preferably unwashed.) Treats. Walks. Other dogs. And he loves his mama!

Pet-Peeves:
Being left to his own devices.

Favorite Toy:
His "Hide-a-Squirrel" toy can keep him busy for a good long while. And then there's the socks and underwear.

Favorite Food:
The Mox lives for chicken and the occasional scrap of steak.

Favorite Walk:
Moxie loves the Sausalito dog park, where we can let him run off leash as it's fenced-in.

Best Tricks:
He sits, waits...and makes us do whatever he pleases with those big brown eyes.

Arrival Story:
We had to beg the landlady to let us have a pup, as we'd signed a no pets agreement when we first moved to San Francisco. Once she'd given us the thumbs up, we threw ourselves into breed research and determined that an Italian Greyhound - with its grace, beauty and affectionate nature - would be a good fit for our little family. It didn't hurt that our apartment's pet weight limit stood at 25lbs. I then ransacked the Italian Greyhound Club of America's website and e-mailed every breeder in California for a lead. Kim B. of the Sierravue Kennel in Fresno got back to me and we chatted on the phone about the breed for a good hour before she told me she had one male puppy available. It was her first litter in over two years, and every other pup had been placed or kept for the show ring. We made the three-hour drive and fell in love with Mox, then called "Walker," and the rest as they say, is history.

Bio:
Mox is the son of champions, but he'll never enter the show ring himself - at 20lbs he's twice the size of your average Italian Greyhound. But you know what? We're thrilled he didn't turn out to be a flimsy, fancy IG. Most are so delicate they break a leg once or twice a lifetime. And this little guy's a daredevil, flying from couch to recliner to floor in record time. Had he been made of sticks and spun sugar we'd have had a collective heart attack by now.
