Arrival Story:
On Thursday, August 13, 2009 I was driving home from a client's house and saw a dog in the road up ahead. I thought it was a min pin or other small breed. I stopped the car as I got closer, and he came around to the driver's door.
I opened the door, and was face to face with a starving puppy. I scooped him up and put him in the car, and took him to a vet as soon as I could.
Bio:
I've always heard when you name a stray is when you get into trouble, but I kept thinking of him as Jack. I told a friend of my reluctance to call him Jack, and she said he was "Almost Jack". So that's his name now. Almost Jack.

I'm at my new home now with my new family! They let me sleep in the bed, and give me lots of yummy treats! I like the lady who took me in when I needed help, but this family is GREAT!
I have doggie siblings here who love to play with me, and I love to play with them! I am very good about it - I don't get mad or bite or anything! I am very playful, and I am so happy to have furfriends I can play with!
My new mommy says my foster mommy can visit me, and I hope she does, but I definately want to stay here!

I'm not Almost Jack anymore! I'm Colin! That's what my new family has decided to call me!
I'm going to have my own dog buddies to play with, and my own human girl that already loves me. She is buying me a yellow collar and leash so I will be color coordinated. She really loves me! She's even going to let me sleep in a bed! A real bed!
I get to meet my new family on Saturday. I can't wait! I'm giong to give them lots of kisses and tell them what a good boy I am so they will never leave me alone!
I hope they have lots of treats for me! All that time without food made me really hungry, and I love to eat!

It's me, Jack. The lady finally moved me into my own yard, and I like it much better than living in the garage. She feels bad about me being out, but she has so many dogs in the house, and some of them are not healthy, so she leaves me in my yard. But I get lots of food and water, and sometimes the other dogs come out and I can see them.
I'm putting on lots of weight. I still look a little skinny, but my belly sure is full! I like my puppy food! I also like to give kisses.
I hope someone adopts me soon and gives me a forever home. I really need a home of my own where I will be loved.
