Daddy had to drive to Chicago to tend to a funeral so while we were out her we drove up to Minnesota to visit his sister and I got to play in snow. Intresting stuff. Afterwards, we drove out to Michigan (Ann Arbor) area, to visit his kid brother. We are currently staying here and enjoying some good old fashioned country living. Will keep you posted and will try to take some new photos. Love to all, Lalo

So daddy is a sadist! LOL We were in Palm Springs for the Doggy Bike rally and yes he had a bike, he made me suffer and did not get me my own wagon. You got it. I had to trot along during the ride-a-thon. Ok I will agree it was fun because I met a lot of new doggy friends and got lots of water, munchies and even a pile of "you're so cute" pats. But, in the end, we went home, I fell asleep and daddy went to the store and bought some chicen filet breasts. Ye, I woke up to the smell of those delicious little quackers roasting away. Mmmmm! Were they good? Burp! Beltch! and Antiacids later. Hell yes! We had a wonderful day and after dinner we stretched out on the bed and watched TV. I am not sure, but I think daddy passed out first, but I certainly followed right after him. We woke up around midnight. Yep, 6 hours later, took our nightly desert walk and back to bed. It was an exhausting but hell of fun day. We should do it more often. Daddy went on Facebook said hi to everyone and had a scotch. Cheap Mr.....I only got water. But I suppose it was for my own good. So we slept the night and today spent it doing errands until we heard that this singer died. Well daddy was not amused and went straight to the computer and computed. He did put some good stuff on there. You guessed it, I had to listen to his proofs. It was all good. Now it is almost 1 am again and we are going for a short walk, some yum yum treats and sleep. Love you all and thanks for reading my adventure for the day. Love Lalo and of course my secretary, Bob.

Beep Beep....the Road Runner that got away.

Yesterday afternoon, daddy took us out for a trek in the desert in search of critters and road runners. Critters there were plenty. Didn't see any snakes thank goodness but other things and even introduced myself to a new cactus. He loved my "cologne" hehe. I did spot a couple of road runners and daddy gave me the word so off I went. How do you catch two road runners? You don't. But I had a lot of fun and came back to daddy who was laughing his butt off. I was foaming at the mouth so he had to wipe me clean and give me some water.
After thinking about the situation I think I will have to head to the hills and find Wyle E. Coyote (super genius), and ask him which ACME products he recommends to catch the bird. I know he is a master at it. At least I heard that he is famous and made many movies about his adventures with those pesky road runners. So I will humbly become his student; the little "chowhopper" until I learn his ways.
Anyway, after our journey into the vast desert, we returned home where I promptly laid down and fell asleep. Daddy woke me up with that wonderful sound of music - The Can Opener Suite. I had some Country Stew and waited for daddy to finish his plate of which I always get some. Hopped on the sofa and we both just watched some TV, read a book, I got rubs until we dozed off. Got up at midnight for a night stroll and back to bed.
Today, we are about to go for ride and do some errands. I will fill you in later. Hope everyone is having a great time and it's nice to be back on line. Love all my dogster AND catster friends....Lalo and my daddy, Bob.

After such a long time, looking back at memories

Our friend HoneyBunny nudged us back to reopen and revisit Dogster. This morning lalo and I spent a couple of hours reviewing all the pages of Layla, Teddy and Pita. My goodness there was so much that we all did together. Such fun and fond memories. Tears welled up on many occasions but they were tears of happiness from times past. The idea is not to drown in the past but move forward. There are other dogs in distress and one cannot dwell on what was or it will overtake you. We are going to totally live again. I would like to write out one of my favorite authors words that I spent far too long trying to disprove. Well who am I? He was right, : "YOU CAN'T GO BACK HOME TO YOUR FAMILY, BACK HOME TO YOUR CHILDHOOD,,,BACK HOME TO A YOUNG MAN'S DREAMS OF GLORY AND OF FAME,,,BACK HOME TO PLACES IN THE COUNTRY, BACK HOME TO THE OLD FORMS AND SYSTEMS OF THINGS WHICH ONCE SEEMED EVERLASTING BUT WHICH ARE CHANGING ALL THE TIME - BACK HOME TO THE ESCAPES OF TIME AND MEMORY." By Author, THOMAS WOLFE (You Can't Go Home Again).

This is a lesson that I have refused to believe forever but finally realized that it's true. (I suppose I am a slow learner). So today is a warm, sunny, wonderful day and Lalo and I will spend the afternoon searching for Road Runners in the desert. Love to all, Lalo and guardian.

A very big THANK YOU AND WHOOF

After our morning walk, we turned on our computer and found that the guardian of HONEY BUNNY and the rest of the family surprised us with a gift dogster plus subscription. On behalf of my three angels in heaven and Lalo, we wanted to genuinely say thank you. This random act of kindness will be paid forward. Granted, it has been a very long time since we were last on dogster. Probably the biggest reason was losing Pita (most recently) tore the core out of my heart and it was very difficult going back and seeing and remembering all of our fun times. I suppose this was the "kick in the ass" we needed to return to Dogster. And so we shall. I know that there is a lot to catch up on so we will work diligently to catch everyone up. Since Pita's passing, I also have been very guilty of not taking photos very much of Lalo. I am sure that those who have lost their fur kids will understand the emptiness that kind of loss brings to you.
We are on Facebook and shall put up a link for the page. To our friend who nudged us back to dogster, again thank you with all our hearts. All our love and appreciation, Bob and Lalo

My last family member is joining Layla and Teddy at the Bridge today. I hope they have a very large pile of biscuits for her. We have missed her and will take good care of her until our guardians come over.
I will stay with Bob and Jake and make sure they stay out of trouble by getting into trouble. That way they have no choice but to focus on me and keep clean themselves. Love to all. LALO

Jacob's Brthday

A few days ago, Bob put together a small gathering with some friends for Jacob for his 28th birthday. Pita and I did attend and darn it all, although we didn't really know about it until we got there, when we did arrive, we though that all the wonderful smelling food was for Pita and me! As you will see in the new pictures that daddy put up, I made a quick run for the food table and guarded it with my life and appetite! But it was all for Jake but that was OK because we got a bit of everything and that included the delicious carrot cake. I got part of a candle too! That's right...it was yummy too!. If you go to PITA's page, you will see some additional pictures of the party but we put some up on my page as well that are a bit different. Jake had a wonderful time and was very surprised. Our friends all had fun and I think that everyone had a bit to much wine but that was OK! We all made it home safely and slept in. So, enjoy the photos and chat very soon. Love Lalo and family.

Dad's Trip to Michigan

As you might remember, daddy had his mother leave this plane last December and had the actual funeral July 27th In Detroit. Daddy left us behind because it was going to be a fast and hectic trip. Bob left and came back in 3 days. He did the eulogy and went to the cremation garden with his remaining sister and brother along with around 100 friends of my dads mom. All was sad but a closure and when daddy got back he was exhausted but took time out to have himself knocked over by me when he walked in the door. Pita walked over and just licked him to pieces and Jacob of course, took very good care of us during Bob's away time and was glad that we were all back together again. Daddy was sad for a few days but is starting to be his old self again. He counts on us and Jake to make his world more comfortable these days and we also wanted to say thank you to our many friends who sent letters and sympathy cards to Bob. We will always be there and Bob promises that from now on he will write our stories much more often in the diaries. He left it behind as he was in mourning and could not get himself to write any good news. Now daddy is feeling much better with this closure and we are all one.
SO, we hope that we are forgiven for being silent but we have a lot to talk about and daddy promises that within the next few days, he will write up a storm on PITA's page as well as mine and will talk about his dreams on Teddys and Layla's pages too.
So, that is it for now and we hope that you all still remember us and love us as we will always cherish you and Dogster!
Love - Bob, Pita, ME, and my heavenly family, Layla and Teddy!

And so it's moms day

Looks like our "mommies", Bob and Jake are going to cook us something special and we will love them today even more. Just like Breakfast at Tiffany's. BOL Later we are going to the doggy park and chase some critters. I wanted to just take a minute and wish ALL our dogster friends and their guardians a happy Mom Day! Woofs and wags, LALO and family

A STAR IS BORN - Fellow Dogster BO has a book out (how Bow wow is that?!)

Before I tell you about the book, me and my family wanted to tell you that all is well. Daddy Bob is studying for a Life and Annuities License and Jake will be doing some Marketing work for that. We are getting a very cool office not too far from our place and we will have fun playing with the clients while daddy does his thing. Also we changed and updated our non profit information on GOODSEARCH. Since we do work with rescue animals we felt it appropriate to mention PITA Foundation and its update.
Now for the fun stuff. We received an doggies e mail that my friend BO (a dogster) wrote a book; actually BO dictated and mommy did the typing. But we were privileged enough to receive an autographed copy of it with paw print and all. The book is entitled BAD TO THE BONE - MEMOIR OF A REBEL DOGGIE BLOGGER by Bo Hoefinger. We are currently reading it and so far it is absolutely awesome and a book that is hard to put down once started. Our congratulations to BO and family for writing such a delightful and entertaining book. It is inspiring and funny. I strongly urge everyone to get a copy of this most entertaining book from one of our own. We are absolutely humbled that BO would take the time to send us a copy (signed) and are in awe of the stories.
So once again, a Dogster rises to the top of the pack! Hooray for BO and family.
Maybe we should write a book but it would never compare to this one!
Barks, wags and super purple licks to Bo and every Dogster out there! Love LALO, PITA, Bob and Jacob.
